The hotel staff were not welcoming at all and was even arrogant when we were asking questions. There was a major renovation going all which was really disturbing. In my opinion, the hotel should have informed us about the renovation. For example, the children's playground was totally out of use, which was a major disappointment for our kids. The grass was totally burned yellow everywhere and the property on the whole did not look taken care of. This should have been a three-star hotel, but did not feel like one at all. The restaurant cooks seemed to be taking care of the reception, and they did not seem at all interested in answering questions. The room itself was a disappointment; it was in the need of renovation and it was not welcoming. I also found some ants in the shower and toilet which I'm not accustomed to finding in three-star hotels.
Breakfast was OK but nothing special.
Please notice also that this hotel is situated in an industrial area and you need a car to get around to restaurants, etc.
Luckily the price was quite cheap compared with other hotels in the area. For a two-day visit to Legoland it served its purpose since you basically just slept in the room.

Price was reasonable with 2 days passes to Legoland included. Location good if you have a car. Bus stop outside but infrequent bus service-we had to walk 20 mins along road to get into Grinsted. Staff unhelpfu-food ok-rooms small and dirty. Needs improving.
