I called a friend in the hotel to talk to and your reception is very unpolite. It is a shame a very nice hotel unfreindly staff
I personally will never recommend anybody to visit your hotel.

The Phoenix is in area close to the Amalieborg Palace, and the picturesque inlet of Nyhaven. Nyhaven has a great atmosphere with bars and restaurants. When the sun shines, there is no better place to relax in Copenhagen.
The little Mermaid statue can be reached by a pleasant waterside walk. Equally Stroget (the walking ,shopping street) is also just a few minutes walk away. The hotel has a nice ambience, with pleasant airy rooms, and a good bar and restaurant. The staff service was excellent, and couldn't have been more helpful.

Top Local Tips for Copenhagen

Overrated Christiana Cristiana, the so-called Freetown, is nothing but just a funky hippy enclave. I had one of the worse meals in my entire life there (vegetarian lasagna) and I did not find the place to be a psychedelic wonderland full of beautiful people doing their own thing (maybe I should have been stoned). Instead I thought that Christiana was an alternative society project that showed plenty of problems: the place was dirty, most homes looked dilapated (although some were nice and righ on the large canal), and to make matters worse a drunk tried to attack me (luckily a Christianite stopped him). There was a racially-mixed funk band with reggae and pop-jazz overtones that wasn't bad - these were very young kids. But to see old hippies smoking hashish to oblivion and not being able to wash my hands after using a dirty bathroom is not nirvana to me. I recommend a visit to Christiana only if you have have visited all the major sites in Copenhagen and not mind lack of hygiene and druggy types.
