Top Local Tips for Prague

Better cities to visit than this There are many more beatiful cities in the world other than Prague, it is highly over-rated and has an extremely unfriendy and rude public. On many occasions when i paid for a meal i was either over charged or given the wrong change when i paid with a valuable note - on one occassion i was under-changed by £15 and i had to then challenge the waiter to go back on the receipt. I gave a 1000Koruna note and the meal only came to 220 Koruna, i was then handed back on leaving the restaurant 350 - not an easy mistake to make?!

Pork knuckle/knee for dinner? Give this a try! It sounds a little off putting, but it is absolutely delicious and extremely filling!! It is a tradional Czech dish, and is sold everywhere for a reasonable price!

Expensive to eat out in Prague Be aware that it costs more than Central London prices to buy a Cappucino or other hot drink. Vegetarians will find it difficult to find meals without meat. The cheapest places we found to eat were small pizza restaurants.
