Exploring the 'burbs Be sure to explore the outer areas of Prague as well! Hrad?any is known for its beautiful buildings (take Metro A to Hrad?anská or Dejvická, or hop on trams 2, 8, 20, or 26 to your desired stop). If you think Prague is inexpensive, just wait until you get to Holešovice, the industrial-turned-residential neighborhood just north of Old Town. The area still has the feel of communism, but it is quickly gaining a reputation as the hip, Bohemian (forgive the pun) part of the city. Grab dinner at Cafe Hamburg or Lucky Luciano's. Feel like staying longer? Check out the nightlife at Mecca or CrossClub (take Metro C to Nádraží Holešovice or Vltavská, or get on trams 3, 5, 12, 14, or 17). And shopping? Chodov is home to Central Europe's largest mall, the Chodov Centrum. The area is also home to many business parks as well as communist-era apartment complexes (take Metro C to Chodov).

Hvezda - Star Palace Hvezda is one of those Prague sights that goes unnoticed. We hopped on the 22 tram and visited this wonderful palace. It has a beautiful promenade that leads to it and we even caught a free orchestra performance near the lawn outside the palace. The entrance fee to the palace itself was really cheap but most everything inside was in Czech. But, no matter the building alone was worth it.
