nice lobby, small rooms, no service

nice lobby and bar very expensive and small rooms we will not come back
Clean, modern, convenient, comfortable
from A TripAdvisor MemberYes to Yasmin
from A TripAdvisor MemberThe bedroom was fresh, quiet with large bathroom and quirky details. Watch out for the big lumbering orange creatures that dominate the 'foyer' and the diningroom. Breakfast was good and staff there were more friendly than reception (still learning the job). Downsides: dont use the hotel's taxi service as we found it was about 30% higher than other reputable firms; dont use the telephone in your bedroom - we were charged £4 for a two minute local, yes local, call.
Nearby, there are two superb locally run restaurants - first left and then first right along the trolley bus street. The Green Tomato serves arguably the best pasta and pizza in Prague in a great atmosphere and wonderful value for money. Non-smoking downstairs. The next door Bistro Kavarna was our favourite for dinner, go downstairs for wide choice and again great prices (and yet just ten minutes walk from the overcrowded and overcharging Wencenlaus Square)
Would return
from kris70Would we stay again, certainly. Good restaurant called Hot just near bye, not cheap by Prague standards but very cheap for lovely food compared to London. Wine very expensive though.
Agree with others that 119 bus and tube is easy way to get to Wenceslas square but may be less convenient if going to less central areas.
Great Hotel

from elestobanBreakfast really does finish within seconds of 10.30 so dont be fooled when they say breakfast is until 10.30 !! The Spanish would not approve. They struggled to cope with keeping on top of breakfast frequently running out of the simple stuff like bread !! But it is a good spread with many cooked items.
Took airport car to hotel 700 ie £17.50 & hotel taxi back at 800 ie £20, dont know how much ordinary taxis are but why spoil a nice expereince for sake of a pound or two.
However if i went again i would stay away from Wenecelas Sq, its become quite tacky & spoilt by English ( & others ) stag do,s & endless touts.
The whole party loved it
from Bisky SIdeal location, off the noisier main streets and squares but within minutes walk of all the attractions.
A very modernistic fit out of a more traditional style of building with some fantastic features. Rooms and en-suite bathrooms are excellent, comfortable and very clean. The restaurant and breakfasts are tremendous, plus food and drink for a top class hotel is very cheap.
There were three couples in our party and we all thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay in this beautiful city, and would not hesitate to book the same accommodation again.
Get a day pass for the trams (costs about 80p) and jump on and off as you fancy, for a quick refresher you know, like you do, and have a wander, see some sights etc.
Check out the bar/ restaurant directly over the road from the hotel entrance, it doesn't look much from the outside, but inside the beer, food and atmosphere is really great.
Roll on next year.

from A TripAdvisor Memberif you need transport from the hotel, dont hesitate to use the airport taxi firm, it is all good and is not expensive at all. it cost us £15 to our hotel. when going home, we used the hotels taxis and that cost about £23. there is just so much to see and do, just make sure you take a guide book. i forgot mine and so we were looking at things and not knowing what they were for! there isnt many shops that sell tour books.
the final thing i would say is, if your cosidering this hotel, go for it. i went about a month after it had just open and i was expecting unfinished rooms etc. but there was none of that, it was perfect for us.

Petrin Hill Petrin hill is a must the views are fantastic there is a minature Eiffal tower which is well worth a trip up if you can manage the steps! there is also a lift. The fanicular railway will take you to the top of the hill unless you are exstremely fit for the walk!! a walk down is nice though. Halfway down is a bar/restaurant where we had lovely onion soup. Also U Fleku is the oldest brewery in prague and brews its own dark beer which is the only drink you can have in there (apart from Bechorovka which they bring round in shot glasses... and you will be charged for it!) the beer is scrummy and in the evening they have an accordian and tuba player that make for a fun beer swilling singalong evening. There is a restaurant immediatly next door to u Fleku serving lovely food and drink at the most reasonable prices we went in there first then to u fleku
Good food Good value around the corner of the Yasmin Hotel at the Green Tomato --also eat at Kogos (also good value) and at Kampa Park for that special meal -- expensive but worth it.. also had coffe in Ebels (behind the Tyn cathedral) recommended
Walking shoes! Cobblestones everywhere! Unless you're used to it, your ankles after a full day of walking in Prague will be a bit tender. We walked from the Hotel Yasmin to Prague Castle to W. Square and back and our ankles hurt. Bring super comfortable shoes (running/walking shoes)... your feet will thank you for it.
