Top Local Tips for Prague

Petrin Hill Petrin hill is a must the views are fantastic there is a minature Eiffal tower which is well worth a trip up if you can manage the steps! there is also a lift. The fanicular railway will take you to the top of the hill unless you are exstremely fit for the walk!! a walk down is nice though. Halfway down is a bar/restaurant where we had lovely onion soup.Also U Fleku is the oldest brewery in prague and brews its own dark beer which is the only drink you can have in there (apart from Bechorovka which they bring round in shot glasses... and you will be charged for it!) the beer is scrummy and in the evening they have an accordian and tuba player that make for a fun beer swilling singalong evening.There is a restaurant immediatly next door to u Fleku serving lovely food and drink at the most reasonable prices we went in there first then to u fleku

Good food Good value around the corner of the Yasmin Hotel at the Green Tomato --also eat at Kogos (also good value) and at Kampa Park for that special meal -- expensive but worth it.. also had coffe in Ebels (behind the Tyn cathedral) recommended

Walking shoes! Cobblestones everywhere! Unless you're used to it, your ankles after a full day of walking in Prague will be a bit tender. We walked from the Hotel Yasmin to Prague Castle to W. Square and back and our ankles hurt. Bring super comfortable shoes (running/walking shoes)... your feet will thank you for it.
