Top Local Tips for Prague

Don't use the taxis! Get a Tourist bus ticket from the arrivals terminal at the airport . Very cheap and keep to a strict timetable of every 30 minutes. Make sure your case has wheels! Getting around-you can either walk or get a tram, again very cheap and frequent.

You're tired of walking....DO NOT HAIL A CAB! Unfortunately this beautiful city has ugly cab drivers that cheat you on cab fares.....forgetting this advice we hailed a cab...we were tired and it was rainy. Ended up costing us 700Krowns to go from Weneslas Square to St. Charles Bridge! We are talking about 8 blocks at the most and he took us on to a highway and everywhere else to make it look like it was far. The only time you should take a cab is when your hotel calls you one. They say this is rampant in Prague....
