Very nice.
from Fravellist
Good room and good location. Meal in Sarah Bernhardt restaurant was very good with attentive staff & good wine recommendation. My only point of complaint would be the size of the TV, but then again who goes to Prague to watch TV?
Good hotel, excellent location
from Lin_NewYork
We stayed at Hotel Paris for one night at the end of April. Overall it's a good hotel but the amenities (e.g. elevator) aren't as modern as we would like. Clearly not a five-star as what we had been told. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful (they all speak excellent English). Our bedroom was spacious (actually more space than we needed). Although the furniture was old, the bathroom was refurbished with a modern look. The buffet breakfast was good but not great in terms of variety and quality. Location of the hotel was superb. It's right next to the metro station. Overall it's a pleasant stay but there are better choices we would recommend in the same area.
An excellent hotel

We have just returned from a stay at the Hotel Pariz, and can thoroughly recommend it. The location is excellent, being 5 minutes walk from both the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, and 10 minutes from the Charles Bridge. In addition to the main restaurant, which is expensive, there is the Cafe de Paris, a coffee shop which is open all day and serves light meals as well as cakes and drinks. The prices are very reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Out room was a good size with a well equipped bathroom. We would definitely return.
Excellent Hotel, highly recommended

Very suprised by some negative views on this hotel. It is beautifully maintained with spotless rooms and attentive staff. They may not be as 'friendly' as some tourists may like, but they are very much following what seems to be a general Czech approach. They are classically Eastern European and I found that something to be welcomed.
I cannot think of any complaint to make at all. It is classed as Five Star and as a world-wide frequent traveller, I would have to agree with that rating.
Beautiful rooms, good service, immaculately clean and reassuringly on the upper side price-wise (but worth every penny). For those who want a classy, art deco, but truly eastern european experience - book in here.
I will CERTAINLY be staying at Hotel Pariz again...(and I only arrived back in London 3 hours ago!)

Attractive building, great location

We stayed for 3 nights just before Christmas in 2004. The hotel is in a great location, just outside the old town. Incidentally, you can get a mini bus - Cedaz (reasonably priced) which takes you almost right to the doorstep of the hotel. The white Cedaz vans leave every 30 minutes from just outside the Arrivals terminal to Nám?stí Republiky.
The art deco architecture of the hotel was very impressive. Staff were pleasant enough - good serice in Prague as a whole is hard to come by though. Our bedroom was a reasonable size and so was the bathroom - which also had a heated floor thankfully as temperatures can plummett in winter obviously. Both rooms were spotless.
Overall, recommended.
PS Try ------------. I got 3 nights for the price of 2 which was the best deal I could find on this hotel after looking at lots of other sites.

Just spent three nights at the Pariz (January 22, 23 and 24)and was overall quite pleased with the experience. The location of the hotel was incredible with all sights easily reached by foot. The architecture of the building was wonderful as were many of the art deco/nouveau features.
The staff was courteous but not overwhelmingly friendly. The room was somewhat plain (almost drab) and the bathroom shower was a bit annoying.
I have stayed in many five star hotels and this was not one of them. However, the packages offered by the hotel are quite reasonable. I would stay there again if need be but when I do return to Prague I will look for another hotel first.

Fantastic hotel great location

We stayed at the Pariz for three nights 27-30 Jan. Our room was lovely and bright, and the bathroom had heated floors. Meals at the Pariz is a must for anyone. Location was Fantastic within walking distance to all the historic sights. Will be returning to this hotel in any future visists to Prague.
Great location, tiny room, tinier bathroom!!
from lesleyjane
We stayed in this hotel recently for a long weekend. We were very impressed with the location of the hotel - literally 5 minutes walk from the old town centre. In fact we walked everywhere, even managing a 4 hour walk which ended up at the castle! The Pariz is a very attractive hotel. However, our room was tiny and the bathroom was by far the smallest I have ever encountered. You could not comfortably turn around in it! The staff were quite distant and verged on surly. We had a problem with our bill when checking out and found reception staff unhelpful and disinterested. In all, a great location but not 5 star accomodation!
Good position, comfortable hotel
from TreesDorset
Group of seven (4rooms - no single rooms) stayed at the Pariz between Christmas and New Year 2004. We chose this hotel after doing hours of research on TripAdvisor! The hotel is in an excellent position for all the sights, metro, trams etc. It is a beautiful building and a very comfortable, warm hotel in the corner of two quiet streets. The staff were helpful but distant. The only drawback as far as we were all concerned was the decor of some of the rooms. It is an art deco building and is decorated as such - a beautiful staircase - but this also meant that the furnishing of some rooms appeared dull ie dark blue carpet and long full dull blue curtains and art deco lights made the room appear dark and I have to say a little drab. However they were large and comfortable and the bathrooms, white and blue, were spotless and well furnished. My mother had one of these rooms on the first floor but she had a small standing balcony which she could see the rooftops and across to the floodlit castle. We had a refurbished room on fourth floor which was brighter in peaches and cream and was faultless (but no view!), with better size bed and linen. The other two rooms on fourth and third floor (it was a shame we couldnt have all been on the same floor when we booked!) looked out across the street and had the dull blue. It certainly wasnt what we think of as a 4/5star hotel. The breakfast was very good with good choice although i did feel that a lot of tables were in the way of staff toing and froing to the kitchen. There was a small cafe which was comfortable and had light bites.

We stayed 5 nights over new year 2004/5 .Beautiful art deco hotel, two excellent restaurants & bar. We had a corner room, again art deco style with heated tiled floor. Good location to explore city by foot. Also do an excellent Sunday Brunch in the main restaurant -very relaxed with music. Staff helpful & very friendly. Overall - good spot and would stay again.

Prague is a charming destimation city with lots to see and lots to enjoy. Stay within walking distance of old town to avoid time consuming transportation trips. Prague's greatest attractions are mostly near the old town square or across the river.
