Cheap but not worth bothering

The only one good point of the hotel is that it is only 10 min walk to the town centre. Apart from that it is not worth staying there. Rooms aren't cleaned at all, towels aren't changed, and the same bed clothing and anything is done for cleanliness. Bathroom has only tube, not a shower, and is dirty, with a mould on the edges of it! It is even disgusting to stand in the tube.
The service - there is no service apart from one lady in the welcome day. She offers taxi from hotel to the airport at the last day of your holiday for price more than normal taxi costs, but the taxi occurs to be not a taxi but her boyfriend with his car!!!
Very disappointed, keep away from this hotel

The room was dirty, noisy, nobody spoke English or even Czech - just Russian - the staff were far from friendly. The breakfast was very modest and definitely not worth more than 1 USD. Very bad value - there are much nicer properties at better price in Prague.

Simply amazing experience

Very nice hotel. Breakfast was more than adequate. TV with satellite channels, direct dial phone, minibar and toiletries were all in place. Free internet terminal helped a lot. Less than 15 minutes walk to Prague Castle. Simply amazing experience.

At the "facilities" hotel's web page is stated that there are room facilities like:
- Ensuite bathroom: but, there was no shower gel - actually no soap at all in the room
- Cable - Satellite TV: but, there was no cable - satellite TV in the rooms and the entire hotel as well.
- Direct Telephone: but, there was no phone in the rooms.
- Mini Bar: but, there was no mini bar in the rooms.
- Hair dryer: but, there were no hair dyers in the 1st floor rooms.

I hate lies. People say that what you pay is what you get, but my experience at that hotel is that it isn't worth the money I paid for a 3 star hotel in Prague.

All we wanted was a romantic weekend in Prague but booking there was a tragedy. I do not recommend it to international budget travellers.

Very close to all central historic location. Spacious rooms and nice views onto Prague castle. Reasonable prices.

Top Local Tips for Prague

Prague Castle Don't pay for a ticket until you do all of the free activities - you can see the castle, go into the cathedral and to the lookout for free. That might be enough!

Metro and Tram Tip Buy a good metro and tram map as soon as you get there. Also do the 24 hour metro/tram pass that way you can jump on and off. You only have to get your pass stamped once by the machines and that should be the first time you get on a tram or metro.

general observations Excellent public transport. No need for taxis to / from the airport, and if you book a through the hotel it will cost even more. Beware of touts trying to sell concert tickets. Beware of thieves.. we saw one distressed elderly lady who'd had her shoulder bag slashed open. Churches are free to look around. The synagogues and cemetery in the Jewish Quarter are not, but we learned enough from brochures and discussions to decide that they were not worth paying to view.
