An excellent experience in all respects. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful (and fluent in English). The room was luxurious and pristine. The music theme is very special, and differentiates this hotel from other top-notch places. An absolute must for classical/opera fans. An exceedingly romantic place--great for couples. Breakfast was excellent. A good location, within walking distance of main attractions, but away from the crowded, bustling old town. Bravo!
loved the aria hotel

This is a beautiful hotel with large, clean, modern bathrooms. Wonderful breakfasts are included with your room (a small service charge is added). The people are very nice and helpful. It is centrally located. Easy access to anywhere you need to go. I strongly recommend it.
Best hotel ever!!

Just back from a long weekend at the Aria. Hotel was so good I didn't want to leave. I can't fault any aspect of my stay. Location is fantastic, service brilliant, food excellent, truly stylish accommodation. We ate a couple of times in the Coda rooftop restaurant, brilliant!!! Good food and wine and lovely views over nightime Prague, can't beat it!!
Chauffeur drive to/from airport a very welcome extra. We really were extremely well looked after from start to finish.
Try this hotel, you won't be disappointed!!

All I can do is to do a "me too" on the other comments praising this place-- great facility, wonderful location, great staff. I'm a fan of the Library hotel in NY but Aria is several orders of magnitude better. It is not dirt cheap by any stretch but well worth it.
Amazing Aria

Aria is very discreet & exclusive - most of the locals I spoke to didn't even know about it. This is a place that defines the term "luxury boutique hotel".
We stayed there on our wedding night (July), arrived at 2am and were upgraded to the Johann Sebastian Bach suite and given a check-out time of 3pm (!). This 'Classical' Suite was elegant & romantic and overlooked the gardens of the adjoining church - which are spectacular to wake up to. The room itself had complimentary champagne & fruit, molton brown amenities, music & novels of the room's composer/style of music (each room is unique) and a huge bed and bathroom. Breakfast was exceptional, the dining area itself is understated but the range and quality of the food is excellent.
So a few tips: Definitely book a suite overlooking the gardens, specify if you want a room with a bathtub, meet with their music director and check their website for special deals.
Yes other hotels like U Prince, Palace and 4 Seasons are great but this one is in a different league. This is Prague at it's best, away from the hordes of tourists and business travellers - romantic, discreet and elegant with first-class service.

Discreet Excellence
from lizzyl
The Aria met all our expectations and exceeded many - It is truly a discreet luxury hotel of the highest standard. I don't think there is a better location, away from the crowds of the Old Town but only a two minute walk from Charles bridge. The service is excellent - Reception, Music Director etc etc see their website for all the facilities. If you can, book a suite overlooking the Gardens - we had a personal tour guide who came up to our suite - she said that we probably had the best view in Prague. Also go to the roof terrace - the view is stunning.
Finally a quick mention about the guide - she made our trip memorable - we booked her for two half days and learnt more about Prague than we could have managed on our own in six months. If you're visiting Prague for the first time I could not recommend her highly enough - Sarka Pelantova - Book her early though as she is in demand.

A Divine Experience!

Just stayed at the Aria in early July 2004. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Not necessarily the poshest - but a wonderful visit, everything perfect. The concept of a music-based hotel is truly remarkable. Each room with a theme, an incredible music library also. We had a junior suite - "Divas" theme - on the opera floor. We took advantage of the music director's recommendations - she booked us tickets to a jazz club and a renaissance concert/ dance and both were perfect! The music director has a PhD in music and used to be the manager of the Deutsch/DECCA label. She is definitely a music expert. Free breakfast was divine and the staff were VERY attentive; everything delivered to our room promptly, and extremely service oriented. Fitness center was decent - 2 treadmills, an eliptical trainer and recumbent bike, dumbells up to 15 KG, and 2 multi purpose weighlifiting stations. All Life Fitness brand. As for location, I would definitely stay in Mala Strana again - glad we did not stay in Old Town. It is nice to be away from the incredible crowds and noise, and the hotel was a great respite to come back to, yet location made it very easy to walk all around Prague. The little Italian restaurant next door to the hotel "Gitanes" was great; also, a block away, is the "Knights of Malta" restaurant, in the basement of the original knights headquarters, dating back to 1400. Both of these were worth going to! We looked into all of the other obvious 4-5 star hotels in Prague - even went into several of them such as the Pariz, 4 Seasons, and U Prince - and I am so glad we chose the Aria!
ve stayed at great spots

I've stayed at "5 star" spots all over the globe, and the Aria is by far the best. From the excellent, friendly and helpful staff, to the themed rooms (which have MP3/CDs on your, yes your, computer for your listening enjoyment) to the primo location, this is THE place to stay in Prague.
The hotel has its own DVD/CD library with titles available for you to check out- for free. The fitness center is better than many commercial gyms and has a large Plasma-screen TV. Each evening, a movie and concert selection are screened/played for the residents again for free.
The roof terrace has excellent views of Karlovy Most, Hdracany Castle and the Old Town.
As for the staff, well I had to get some shirts pressed for a business meeting. The staff guaranteed the clothes would be laundered and pressed and back that night. Not only were they back, but the maid HUNG THEM UP IN THE CLOSET! as well as straightening up my things and turning down the bed. This place is worth the price, and given its excellent Old Town location a pretty good deal as well.

Stayed in the Aria in April '04. We were greeted with excellent, friendly, professional service. Our suite overlooked the gardens, just as the pictures on their website depict. An excellent hotel that have got it all right. Although a very quiet hotel, it is a treat to stay in and very centrally located. Highly recommended.
C sharp for sure !

well we stayed here for our honeymoon after reading the wow reviews on the site. also managed to get a great deal on their web site- from memory 175 euros per night. very competitive relative to the other 5 star hotels and not as formal
well it was great- staff delightful and they upgraded us to a room with a view of those magical gardens and they are just as they appear in the pics.
unfort the gardens only open around april (we were there late march) and it was -5 celcius, ie very cold.
there is not anything we would change - the hotel is very new and trendy, we were given fruit and water, internet access and the biz centre are free. and it is very refreshing relative to the formality of the 4 seasons hotel (we also have stayed there- however the latter is almost a 6 star hotel and you pay for it)

Top Local Tips for Prague
Musical Director Take time to chat to Ivana and the other staff, however if tyou go to the Opera get a box what an experience, only thing we should have done that we didnt!
caution taxi drivers make sure you ask the approx cost of a journey before embarking, they can charge the earth!
taxis make sure you ask the taxi driver how much he is charging before the journey. They seem to make prices up.

We had just the one meal in the hotel restaurant prior to our departure and this was also absolutely fantastic and it made us wish we had eaten in the hotel restaurant on more than one occasion. We would have but for the fact that we were just there for a weekend and had been advised on a few other restaurants to experience.
All in all the perfect hotel, the perfect location with the perfect staff. 10/10 from us. Thank you for such a pleasant and enjoyable stay. The gardens were also very picturesque and beautiful. We would definitely stay in your hotel again if we visit Prague in the future.
