Location is only 15 minutes or so walk to the main historical sites. Very nice quite location. Staff are very courteous at all times. Very clean all round.Breakfast is fantastic with lots of choices - very surprise better than most hotel we have been. Very helpful staff who would choose the best tour for you and so far, we enjoyed everything about Prague right from start of stay in hotel to end of trip. Definitely will come back. It is a nice relaxing walk if one walk down the steps from infront of hotel and turn right, this will take you to all the attractions in no time. Very close to metro station and tram stops that will take you to any attractions you desire to visit.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ametyst Hotel very much lovely clean hotel professional and friendly staff first class breakfast nice location within very easy reach of all major attractions

Great breakfast, nice staff, poor conditions

The nice part: - the breakfast is excellent. - the staff is very attentive and polite. The ugly part: - the rooms are not sound proofed in any way - been woken up by the neighbour's alarm clock, also noise from the street was wuite annoying. - the furniture has seen better days, and is more fit for a 2-3 star hotel. - the room was not very clean. - it costed more than another 4* hotel which I use, which offers pool & jacuzzi & sauna & gym for free for the guests; Ametyst has no pool or gym, and charges you extra for using the sauna

A nice hotel situated in the New Town about 20 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square. The rooms (one double, one single) were comfortable and the breakfast buffet was superb. The staff were friendly. The house wine is excellent. Prague is a lovely, vibrant city however the tourist hot spots can be overwhelming. We liked the hotel because of its quiet location. Near the hotel we found a small Czech restaurant and enjoyed dinner there. We lunched in town and that was fine too. Prague wants people to visit her, and she caters for them well eg plenty of good, clean WCs (that is important!). We had a thoroughly relaxing and most enjoyable break and we will come back.
