Buying ticket at hotel If you buy your tram/train/bus tickets at the hotel make sure they don't overcharge you as this happened to us but when we noticed it was too late

beer and pubs Be very careful when enterring a pub because the prices vary a lot. The best thing to do is to check the prices which are generally displayed in front of the pub. The "normal" price for a beer in a "normal" pub should be in between 25 to 40 koruna

watch your restaurant bill if you like beer drink it cause its cheap and very good. if you want some water be specific about the size of bottle and band of water as we casually ordered some to find we'd been served the most expensive and the biggest bottle approx £6! Also u are automatically served breads which are charged for in most tourist restaurants whereas the local one didnt. VAT is 19% and one restaurant added extra for service...so prices vary and if you want to watch your pennies look closely before ordering
