get a tram pass at the airport you will notice that when you get on the trams, no one will check if you have a tram pass or not. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and buy a tram pass at the airport when you arrive. We had one throughout and were thinking that we wasted our money but on our last day, a lady and security jumped on the tram and started booking people with fines who did not have the pass. Also, you will have to buy a pass for your luggage too. We didn't have one but when we got caught, the lady was okay with us because we had a tram pass. She just made us pay another fare and that was fine. It's Prague so everything is cheap anyway!!!

Lots of music I'm a professional musician. I've been all over Europe both as a performer and traveler, and nowhere is as culturally active as is Prague. Do some research before you go to see what's happening and plan your evenings. Hearing a Mozart opera at the Estates Theatre is a treat - but there will probably be two or three operas to choose from at the various venues each night - and this is not to mention chamber music concerts in the many beautiful churches. Prague is one of the most enjoyable cities we've visited - see the "standard" tourist stuff, check out the art nouveau aspect, but don't miss out on the music!

luggage The baggage handlers at the airport had rifled through all our bags and helped themselves to anything good ... so ensure you travel with secure, lockable baggage, or carry anything valuable on to the flight.
