Good location
from A TripAdvisor Member
This hotel is location in a good location. Easy walking distance to old town square, about 5 minute walk. Tour information is on the way. Train station is 10 minute walk also..Subway and bus station is across the street. Airport is 25 - 30 minute taxi ride. Rooms were spacious and bathroom is well stocked with bath items, including bathrobes and slippers. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Fabulous location - close to Old Town Square

My husband and I spent a long weekend at this hotel, celebrating my 50th birthday. As a Gold VIP member we were upgraded to an Executive room which brought with it the privilege of access to the Executive Lounge for breakfast and other refreshments. We had a corner room and the extra space this gave us was fabulous. The bed, in true Hilton style, was so comfortable we really had to pull ourselves away from the room to make the most of our time in such a beautiful city. On the day of my birthday the hotel surprised me with a bottle of champagne along with strawberries and chocolate dip. What a lovely touch!
We dined at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant, Maze, and had a lovely experience along with a little birthday cake presented to me by the staff. The cost of dining here was no more expensive than a decent restaurant in the UK, but the service was second to none.
My only negative comment about this hotel is the size of the Executive Lounge which is very small. This caused a few problems at breakfast time as staff were finding it very difficult to keep up with the high turnover of guests whilst ensuring that the supply of breakfast choice was refreshed frequently.
The hotel is close to the Old Town Square and many of the "must see" landmarks. If you are looking for a good quality hotel in a great location then the Hilton Old Town Prague will meet your needs.

Hilton Prague Old Town - a Wonderful Hilton Hotel
from Sfran10536
We stayed at this hotel whilst enjoying a long weekend in Prague. We were very impressed with both the hotel itself and by the staff who were the amongst the friendliest and most helpful we have had the pleasure to meet. The Hilton Old Town is a very attractive hotel with a lovely Art Deco foyer, bar and restaurant areas. The restaurant is a Gordon Ramsey restaurant called The Maze. We did not actually eat in the restuarant but we did eat in the bar and the food was part of the the Maze menu. The food was excellent and well worth it.
The location is excellent and only a couple of minutes walk from the Old Town, so ideally situated as a base for a few days in Prague. As a Hilton Diamond VIP, we were upgraded and we had access to the Executive Lounge. This was well stocked with drinks and food. We had breakfast in both the Maze resturant and the Executive Lounge and found that the food is the same in both. We were also upgraded to an Executive Suite which has a seperate lounge and a large bedroom. I have to say the beds were as comfortable as any we have slept in and we have done many a Hilton Hotel across the world! Overall the room was of a high standard and the bathroom was new and in excellent condition, well stocked with shamphoo, shower gel etc.
We enjoyed Prague, it's a wonderful city and the standard of the hotel made our stay even more memorable.

Absolutely amazing ...

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Old Town hotel for Christmas 2007. Prague is beautiful ... absolutely breathtaking! The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Everything you would expect from this chain. The bed we had is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept
in. The staff were polite and helpful. The location is great, you couldn't get much better. It is really easy to get to from the airport
(there is a courtesy bus or alternatively the metro stop is just at the bottom of the road (literally a 1 minute walk). The hotel is close
to all the beautifulattractions and the shopping. I will be returning to Prague very soon and will definitely re book this hotel.

Great Location, Nice Renovation
from bgagnon
Stayed here from the 29th of Dec to the 3rd of January.
Location: Right in the heart of Old Town, a 5 minute walk to the square, 15 minutes (at most) to Charles Bridge. Just a tremendous location. There are three solid shopping "malls" within 10 minutes walk, including the new Palladium which is right around the corner. To top it all off, the Czech Airlines head office is literally 15 meters from the front door, from there Cedaz operates a shuttle to/from the airport every 30 minutes which the knowledgeable traveler will take and save large amounts of currency (hotel "taxi" 800 kz, per person shuttle 120kz, both door to door).
Lobby: The lobby is very nice, the single complaint is the temporary desk for the "tour" operators which consistently looked out of place. In such a nice lobby it was sad to see poorly dressed, slouching people on a fold up desk literally as you walked off the elevator. I am still not sure why they are not moved to the far end, out of general traffic and eyesight...
Concierge + service: The staff is still being broken in (new hilton as of Nov 07') and for the most part is up to the Hilton standard. We found the Concierges had a set list of places to recommend (restaurants all seemed to be associated with either one "chain" of higher end, or a local eatery that was in the $$$ range). As well, for instructions on travel to the airport we were given a "hotel shuttle" or "taxi" service (both charging large krowns) but failed to mention the Cedaz stop just beside the hotel. Otherwise the staff was pleasant and helpful.
Eating/Executive Lounge: Being a Hilton Gold VIP gave access to the morning breakfast and the executive lounge. Both are up to Hilton standards and the breakfast was quite pleasing with an excellent assortment of fresh juice, fruit, cereal and "typical czech fare" (breads, cold cuts, cheese). The lounge's only downfall, only imported beer!!! no czech beer at all, so sad!
Rooms: Excellent linens, good chambermaid service, great beds and well appointed bathrooms. Do not expect much TV (if that sort of thing matters) as you will get 3 english language news stations (cnn international, sky and bbc)
Overall, 4 out of 5 for generally a great stay with only a few quirks that need to be fixed to go to a full 5.

Wonderful city, great hotel
from ran.greece
i stayed in this hotel with my husband for 4 days
during our stay we were excited both with the city of prague as well as for the hotel
prague is like living in a fairy tale !! so picturesque and aristocratic really is worth visiting
as for the hotel it has a great location ! 5 minutes walk from the old town, charles bridge, stores, restaurants, theatres...whatever you want
the metro station "Namesti Republik" is right next to the hotel in case you need it
the area around the hotel is safe (generally prague is a safe city)
concerning the interior of the hotel, the rooms are excellent ! an enormous, luxurious and extremely comfortable bed with a lot of pillows !! we had a great time sleeping and resting !! a desk, an armchair and a 42'flat tv are included. the rooms are hot and so is the bathroom which has a floor constantly warm and is very spacious
the hotel and room were always clean
the breakfast is an average continental . it was quite good but you are expecting a more impressing one due to the fact that you are staying in a hilton hotel
the staff is polite and helpful, something you will not easily find in the czech republic !!
the only negative i have to say for the hotel is that one morning we had ordered breakfast to be served in our room but this never came
overall i would surely recommend without hesitation a trip to beautiful Prague and a stay at the Hilton Old town!

Gordon Ramsy and the Hilton Old Town Prague
from ColinChelmsford
My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Old Town Prague which hosts the Maze resturant by Gordon Ramsey. I have eaten at the Maze in London on which the resturant is based at our experiance of the Prague version is every bit as good. We had the 7 course menu and my wife and I were delighted with the food quality and menu, it really was such a treat. The hotel opened in November as the Hilton and has been refurbished withh lovely bright rooms, flat screen tvs and new resturant and bar. 10 mins from old town square and vey close to municiple hall which is well worth a look for local beer, entertainment and food in the basement with traditional chez food.
The staff in the Hilton were lovely and so helpful. Prague is a lovely place only let down by its terrible taxis, stick to AAA taxis and you will be ok. Many others will rip you off. Hotel will help you with advice and booking of metered cabs. Hotel is highly recommended, Gordons new resturannt is not to be missed.

Nice Hotel and Location but ...
from MarylandMdtravel
The hotel is very close to the old town area and is a nice but not great hotel. The rooms are dated although it was not disappointing. I am not sure what the problem was - most of my interaction with staff were fine. The concierge helped with a tour, the bellmen were fine. IMPORTANT the hotel only recently became a HILTON so the taxi drivers don't know it as a Hilton and they will take you to the other one. That is what happened to us.
Hilton Heaven
from EWS26
Stayed for 3nights in hilton. Execellent location. Staff very helpful and polite namely reception member of staff Lucas.Great variety for breakfast and very tasty too. Overall we were very pleased . I have to take my hat off to the staff of the Hilton no complaints as we did find other locals were ignorant. Couldnt fault this hotel at all. Prague is a beautiful city and we will def return.
Warm city--no language problems!
from ambie23
We stayed at Prague Hilton--loved it! There was an extra 15 mlnute walk to the center of Old Town but worth the walk for the hotel and the wonderful breakfasts.
Loved the Charles Bridge and the many friendly restaurants. Country Time was a nice change of pace--loads of vegetables.

Top Local Tips for Prague
Airport Shuttle When staying at the Marriott or the Renaissance or somewhere nearby, you can use the CSA airport shuttle which arrives/leaves on the same road. It runs every half hour and is much cheaper than a Taxi.
April in Paris? I think Prague is ideal in April: the weather is warm and mild, it is "shoulder season" so you get there ahead of heavy tourism, and the walled gardens are in bloom. Have a meal outdoors at Kampa Park, right on the river's edge and you'l think you've gone to heaven.
Airport transfer Use the Cedaz minibus service. The stop is right outside the hotel.

The rooms are what you'd expect from a hilton, along with the service, that I couldn't really fault. I was welcomed and given help with directions from my car by a helpful person at reception.
Despite its central, central location, within the hotel it's very quiet. There's aircon, minibar etc within the room. The working desk was a healthy size and there was a place to put my laptop - they've a laptop safe. There's wifi access, so really you can't ask for more.
If you're working to a deadline - like I was, then there's 24 hour room service and they'll get you anything from the restaurant. Still, it's nice going to a 5 star hotel and dressing casual after a working 18 hours! I was impressed by Gordon's Maze restaurant which is adjoined to the hotel. I've written a review about this elsewhere so I won't repeat myself.
The breakfasts are very huge, I recommend upgrading to the ""Breakfast"". You'll be running around on this all day. During the colder months, like when I went, I was thankful I ate something as hearty as this!
One evening I went to the Palladium. Despite it's name it's not a nightclub - it's the largest shopping prescient or shopping mall in the country. Tonnes of shops there and it's only 5 minutes from the hotel!
