Fantastic food

We had a great stay back in November . Location is exceptionnal on the river 2 minutes away from Charles bridge. We had a lovely superior room in the main building with the usual "Sealy" beds and "L'Occitane" toiletries. Decoratively speaking I found the room quite dull with boring art on the walls and an ugly ceiling lamp in the shape of a flying saucer. You could actually be anywhere in the world...not much sense of place. The bathroom was your typical Four Seasons bathroom with a deep tub, seperate shower stalls and loo but very bland. No art and a very bright light above the sinks. All in all the room was very comfortable but lacked that something special.
Housekeeping was invisible and very efficient but a bottle of water at turndown would have been welcomed.
What really set sthis hotel apart is the quality of the food. We had dinner twice at Allegro where the Italian chef performs miracles. The menu offers italian dishes and a modern version of some Czech specialties. We were entranced by the whole experience. staff was extremely attentive and professional and when we got back to our room we even found 2 glasses of Tuscan wine and biscuits and a thank you note for having had dinner at Allegro!!! Very nice touch!
There is also a small gym with complimentary fruits, water and juices and a smal business center.
I would go back but it's a shame that they haven't come up with a bit more decorative bravura.

Simply the best

Certainly one of the finest hotels anywhere, with simply the best location, the most attentive staff, beautiful, high ceilinged rooms, a cozy bar, and a restaurant (the Allegro) which is acknowledged to be the best in the Czech Republic and one of the finest in Europe. While a chain (Four Seasons), it manages to put one in the mood for Prague's old world charm. I'd go back to Prague because it is amazing; but given the chance, I'd go just to stay at this hotel.
Fantastic Hotel in a great city

We spent three nights here at Christmas time and it was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are top notch. The staff is so on the ball and first rate. We had train tickets to Salzburg, which were mixed up, and the concierge, Jan, went to the train station for us to fix them !Loved the cozy bar and the location is perfect. This was my first time to Prague and the experience at the hotel made me love the city even more than I did. I cannot say a bad thing about this hotel.
Allegro restaurant - wonderful food

We booked an evening celebration meal for seven late December 04 - the food was exceptional and the staff helpful and discreet and I would recommend this restaurant even though the price was steep (ie one starter was £20, I know as my mother chose it!). It has a lovely view across to the floodlit castle and an informal, relaxed atmostphere (not many ties). We were staying at the Pariz and it was an easy walk away.

Just arrived back this morning from Prague, after spending New Year there in the Four Seasons Hotel. Well what can I say about this hotel more than everybody else has on these reviews. This really is a beautiful hotel, service second to none. I would't say it is the best hotel I have stayed in, as I think the Royal Mirage in Dubai is, but this comes a close second. Prague is a very beautiful city and this is the hotel to stay in while you are there. The views are fantastic of the castle and the charles bridge especially New Years Eve with all the fireworks. Will be going back again soon.

My husband booked this hotel as a surprise for my 30th birthday in September 2004. The limousine service from the hotel that collected us at the airport was excellent; punctual, effcient and a the driver was very friendly and informative.
On arrival, once in the foyer, the beautiful flowers and candles which were throughout the foyer and the incredibly helpful staff made it very welcoming.
Once we had checked in we were taken to our room by one of the front desk staff and what a room it was! It was incredibly spacious, beautiful decor and had a fantastic bathroom with lovely L'Occitane bath products. To top off the start to our break, the hotel management had left a note for us, together with a beautiful birthday cake!
Throughout our stay, the staff and service were fautless, the gym was fantastic and the hotel location is simply stunning. On checking out we filled in a questionnaire about the hotel, and two weeks after having returned home we recevied a letter from the management, thanking us for our kind words - now that's what I call great service and attention to detail!

I had already spent three nights in Prague at the Renaissance Hotel, before discovering the Four Seasons. On my fourth night I decided to change hotels, and try out Four Seasons. The cost was a bit more then 109 Euros I was paying at the Renaissance, but the experience was priceless.
The hotel is an absolute gem located in the midst of an up and coming recently rediscovered city in eastern europe. Prague is definiately a place that everyone sometime in their lives should visit at least once, and there is no better place to stay then the Four Seasons.
The hotel is located on the water, about two blocks from the Charles Bridge, and about one block from the metro. The location is ideal for tourists that want to be centrally located between the castle and the city center.
The hotel itself appears new, and the staff is among the best. They are very polite, courteous, and kind. They are willing to assist you in any way they possibly can. Tomas at the conciege desk was amazing. His dinner recommendations were superb.
The rooms are the typical Four Season luxury. Soft and warm linens cover the bed, and the bathrooms are the standard granite and marble with showers and tub, with ample room for two.
The bed and breadfast package is the way to go with this hotel, at 195 Euros a night. If you happen to order breakfast without this package in the hotel restaurant, beware of the hefty price you will pay. The service will be amazing, the staff is polite and gracious. The food is delightful, and ample for most.
Overall I cannot say enought about how wonderful my stay was here. I only wish that I would have discovered this hotel earlier in my travels. I will definitely be returning here.

LOVED the Four Seasons, Prague

My husband and I vacationed in Europe for 2 weeks and stayed at the Four Seasons in Prague for 3 nights at the end of August. We are seasoned travelers and we have to tell you that we LOVED this hotel. It was excellently situated practically at the foot of the Charles Bridge - you can't beat that location in this city PERIOD.
The food served at the hotel restaurant was great - my husband claimed that the best dinner he had in his entire life was in this restaurant (he exaggerates sometimes but mine was totally memorable too and I'm a "fussy vegetarian" who doesn't eat any meat, eggs or seafood - their regular menu even accomodated me without having to make any special requests). Our breakfast was included and it really was free every morning (but for the gratuity) - it's not like it only included the cheapest thing on the menu....I think the package actually included the most expensive breakfast option on the menu. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was great.
Our room was spacious - the bed was SO comfortable, the towels were thick, the bathroom was roomy and covered in marble and the walk-in closet was huge. The view sucked but that ended up not mattering at all because we weren't exactly hanging out in the room.
The only thing that bugged me was that I had hopped on the internet in the business center for like 10 minutes on the first day. I apparently made the mistake of letting the hotel guy in the neighboring "store" to the left of the business center know that I was using the internet, and he jotted down my room number but informed me that the service was complimentary. Fine. The next two days I used it again but he wasn't there so I just let myself in and used it. There were little placards posted that listed out charges for using the internet but I honestly ignored them because the hotel guy told me it was free. When I checked out though, I was charged once for using it - apparently from the first day when he wrote down my room number. It was annoying only because he told me it was free and the charge was $10 for 10 minutes which seems a little like you're getting ripped off when you're paying $300 USD for a room. At checkout, they took it off my bill when I told them their own personnel told me it was complimentary despite their posted sign.

We spent one night in Four seasons Prague for a short week end. The hotel was perfect with huge rooms and a very nice bathroom. We asked for a limousine transfer from the aiport to Karlstejn castle and from the castle to the hotel. The car was really comfortable and the driver friendly and helpful. Just next to St Charles Bridge and the river and with a nice view of the castle from the terrace, the location can t be beaten!
We had a faultless stay there although it was impossible to have breakfast on the terrace which is definitely a shame. Anyway although we haven t tried any other hotel, I can not imagine what other place would be more perfect for a romantic week end in Prague!

Top Local Tips for Prague
Restaurant checks Besides that service in traditional Czech restaurants is horrible, they very often try to cheat on prices, gratuities and other charges. Dont be afraid to tell the waiter if there is something incorrect on the bill, or ask for the menu to check prices if you are not sure!
Prague dining scene Although the general standard of dining in Prague is not spectacular the food is wholesome and good value. The staff were unfailing friendly and genuinely eager to help.
Boat and lunch cuise on Vltava River Booked through Martin Tours (which doesn't require a pre-payment) the lunch cruise was very pleasant. Don't expect gourmet food but the ride was worth the price. Great way to see the city and the commentary was enlightening. Boat had a nice covered top deck, which some others did not. (And with temps in high 80s F, we needed the shade).
