Top Local Tips for Prague

From airport to hotel & Good Food a must is to book your transfer from the airport with www.prague-airport-transfers.co.uk we booked a return journey with them the night before our break. The driver was there to greet us (very friendly) taken straight to car and was at hotel within 25mins of arriving. We were given a map of prague with all information on things to do & see plus included in the price for a return journey was a free 4hr walking trip around pragues historical sights normally costing £11 each. All this information was of a great importance to us as it got us to all the places we wanted to visit along with a safe trip to and from the airport. Highly recommend by us.Upon arriving we were starving (well we are british) so a good meal was an utmost. In our room was a leaflet recommending Pizza Nuova an Italian Restaurant just opposite the Hotel, it was very ambient low lighting and a perfect atmosphere. staff were very helpful and friendly making us want to go back as we enjoyed it so much. To and from the airport The difference in price in transport to and from the airport is quite drastic. A taxi driver will pounce on you and offer a great "deal" for a ride to the hotel of CZK 650 (about £16), a CEDAZ minibus will ask CZK 480 (about £12) and the scheduled minibus which leaves every half hour is a mere CZK 90 (about £2.50). When you leave the airport terminal, walk all the way to the right until you come across a big Transit minibus (12-seater) and wait for the driver; not only that, it's a lot better condition than the CZK480 minibus too! Coming back, find the Nam Revolucni square and pick it up outside the Marriott Hotel.
