We Recommend
from jtcrumpThe Hotel itself is newly redone, so there are still a few kinks to work out. But overall, nicely furnished and very, very clean and safe.
We started out our stay in the 'A' tower and our room was on the street side of the building. With no ac in July, we had to keep our windows open at night, and there was quite a bit of street noise for a relatively small street. With Il Fleku (sp ?, happening brew pub with traditional music) a couple doors down, people would stumble out singing at midnight or so If staying there, I'd email and ask for a room not on the street until they get ac installed. I went down to the desk, explained the situation, and was able to move to the 'C' tower which faced the courtyard. It was a bigger room and much, much quieter. The down side there, was another kink, the intermittent outages of the elevator. Fortunately, they were not at the most inopportune times for us. The elevators are all new, and it does take time to get them running smoothly. Every outage did result in a service crew getting there quickly to work on the problem.
Having said all that, the staff was GREAT. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Hana helped me with putting together a fruit tray with Champaign waiting for my wife at check in in our room. Alex is a wiz at quickly looking up schedules and other information on the internet. The woman that works along side Hana helped us switch rooms to a quieter room. One of the house bartenders lived in the states a couple years and loved to share her experiences there and engage in pleasant conversations while pouring whatever you need.
It's great location near the National Theater.
If you stay here, you have to go around the corner on Opatovicka to Restaurant Style. The Bulgarian chef puts together an amazing menu in an intimate little setting. Don't be fooled and just go there for a drink, eat as well. The prawn appetizer, mushroom rizotto and salmon tartar are all winning starters. High quality food with gorgeous presentation. If you go there, tell him I'm sorry I forgot to bring the beer glass back.
Enjoy Prague!
A wonderful surprise!
from Homer_MargeFinlandThe room was really clean and tidy. The bathroom was also great and everything worked well.
The breakfast buffet was good and everything was always clean and fresh.
If we went to Prague again we would definitely stay at Pav so we can warmly reccommend it to anyone travelling to Prague. You won't be disappointed.

Great Boutique Hotel
from TravelgirlAustraliaWe stayed there twice over the course of one week. Overall the rooms are extremely clean, big bed, flat screen TV and decent size bathroom with appropriate ammenities.
During our first booking we had a large size room and bathroom with a balcony. However our second room was of small proportion and a bit awkward in design. It did not bother us as we were only there one night.
The wifi did not work in our room but it may have been our computer.
There are two computers in the lobby and one of them is often free. The breakfast was above average with a variety of choice.
Most of the hotel staff were friendly and happy to help with any questions. Furthermore they were willing to assist us with train timetables and tour bookings.
The location of the hotel is pretty good once you get your bearings. If you dont mind walking it is easy to get to the main street in the new town and that easily connects to the old town. There are trams on the main road up from the hotel.
There are lots of great restuarants within walking distance of the hotel, including at excellent czech restaurant and brewery practically next-door to the hotel. Do a bit of exploring and you will not be disappointed!!!
Chic and friendly
from EindhovenLexaThe location is great! You can hardly find such a place for that value. Only one thing, if you are not used to a big city noises and a fussy nightlife, stay rather somewhere out the centre, because the warm nights are really busy there! :)
Polite and helpfull reception staff checked us in, our room was very spacious and absolutely clean. The hotel is brand new and you can still smell it all around! Breakfast was nice and there is nothing wrong with the sausages :)) I found them really lovely... The only thing - go to the breakfast earlier than at ten otherwise it gets very crowded!
Finally I would really recommend this place. Clean, good value, friendly staff, central location. We would be certainly going back!
Modern and clean
from TTYSEWe had to park at a sister hotel - which was expensive and difficult to navigate (the only way to get there was to drive backwards on a one way street).
Free internet was a nice added touch.
A disappointment
from OCinHKThe location, although within walking distance to city center, is not as convenient as I thought it'd be. With luggages, it's not an easy walk from the subway station, about 5+ mins with many turns. After walking all day around Prague, that 5 mins would seem like 10.
I have traveled in Europe quite a bit and never seen a check-out time at 10am. Since my flight leaving Prague was at night, I asked if I could check out later. The answer, "Yes, you would just have to pay." She was just very cold and short and made it seemed like there's no negotiation at all......so very unhelpful. They were also no help at all when I tried to ask for help on public transportation going to the airport.
One good thing about the hotel is that it is very clean with Ikea style furnishing. Bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast was decent.
For the amount of money I paid for this hotel, I was getting a lot more from a hotel in Berlin, which was where I came from before visiting Prague. So, one can imagine the disappointment. Prague is no doubt a very very beautiful city. But it has become so touristy that there're too many opportunites to rip tourist off. (I was ripped off at a restaurant by double charging tax and service charge.)
Not the best but a good price for Prague
from boldheartCons-This hotel is located right next to the oldest brewery in Prague, and during the summer you will need to open the windows-this creates a problem if you like to sleep anytime from 11:00 pm to 11:00 am. There are no fans you can ask for, so you can sleep in heat or sleep with noise-your choice.
Also, I don't know if it was just this place, but customer service was not all that great. We had our laundry sent out, and they forgot to send it out. When we asked to print our train tickets on their computer, they acted as if it was too much work. Several of the front people were very short and not too helpful, but this seemed to be our experience in Prague. Everywhere we went we seemed to get short answers, no eye contact, basically rude service even though we didn't treat them that way. At one restaurant during a rain storm, we were kicked out the establishment even though we wanted to order something to eat.
For the money we spent to stay in Prague, we would just choose another country.
Great hotel, great value, great location
from Shariela_MThe hotel is new opened, extremely clean and modern... great located - in the city center. Close to the actions and the main attractions no need to take a taxi or tram.
The hotel organized transfer to meet us at the airport what we appreciated cause we arrived late night.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful - from organizing taxis, arranging sightseeing tours to recommending us restaurants & bars in the area.
The rooms are nice spacious, very clean with plazma TV.
Found great offer on the hotel website. You have to check it! They have special last minute rates!
We had a great stay. Would rate it more than 3*** and wholehearted recommend it!!! Would return again with no doubt!!!
The best holidays
from EclairKYour breakfast was good and the same housekeeping. So everything was perfect, thank you for nice staying.I hope tht you will continue in the same.
Not new... a preemie
from MartinTAChicagoBut it is the lack of A/C that turned into the main problem. The apparently quiet street away from the Centre is nothing but quiet. Lot's of noise. Try and sleep with windows open with noise and bugs! Or try and sleep in a room with zero air.
Top Local Tips for Prague
Vegetarians don't be scared! We were a liittle worried about visiting Prague, being vegetarian - all our friends who had been made out that all there was to eat was pork knee & stew - not so! We visited 4 restaurants - all of which had extensive veggie menus. You must especially try & check out 'Clear Head' which is hidden away but worth a visit - the food & atmosphere are wonderful - and the hot chocolate (which needs to be eaten with a spoon!) is legendary!
Afternoon Tea If you are a lover of grand art noveau, do try and visit the very lovely Obecni Dum. It is a lovely place to eat in the Municipal House.
side streets Dont be affraid to roam down side streets, this is where you can find some lovely cheap eating places
