Nice and warm Hotel

We stayed at the Atos Hotel in March 2008. Hotel was nice and warm, receptionist made me feel very welcome. All the main tourist attractions were in easy walking distance, so Hotel has a very good location. Our room was very clean, with fresh towels and bed linen provided daily. Breakfast is pretty basic, but good quality. Evening meals try Meduzzy (5% discount card from Hotel), around Hotel there are many bars and small restaurants. The Hotel we booked through praguediscounthotels.com and the company provided a free transportation from Airport to the Hotel. And we done with them pre-booking return. I guess, Atos Hotel is great for couples friends and families.

Fantastic

Just returned from a long weekend at the Atos Prague. Excellent hotel, fabulous location and extremely reasonably priced. Would definetely return. The old town and the castle area are wonderful. particularly at night. Eating is really cheap in the lesser quarter where the hotel is situated, particularly Meduzzy right next door to the hotel. The prices in the old town are much more expensive. Would recommend both this hotel and city to anyone that loves city breaks. Flights from Glasgow via Globespan keep the cost low.

Great Hotel excellent Value for money

Stayed at Hotel Atos 2 nights March 2006. Clean and great location. Some nice bars restaurants close by. Go out of the hotel turn left onto main street (with trams) head towards centre then take 2nd left towards bridge. On the right hand side there is a small resuarant (excellent quality and value)plus nice bar and cafe close by, all well worth your consideration.

We stayed at Atos Hotel 27 Feb - 2 March 2006 and were really impressed with everything in general. VERY clean, not only in the bedrooms but all the public areas as well. We were lucky and had a triple room for the two of us so it was bigger than normal. The bathroom was really modern, again spotlessly clean, with a power shower and there was piping hot water available at any time of day or night. The buffet breakfast had a wide choice, a lot of it not what we would serve for breakfast in England, but we were able to stoke up each day! The staff were very helpful and we would thoroughly recommend the hotel - it's also really close to most of the major tourist attractions, just 15 or 20 mins walk. Exceptional value too.

My partner and i got back from our trip to Prague last night, we stayed at the City Partner Hotel Atos for 4 nights. I must say i was extremely impressed by the standard of it. The room was very clean and the bed was very very comfortable, in fact hard to get out of, the only thing was we wanted breakfast so had to. The shower was a great powershower, we were very happy about it. Breakfast was very good and there were also boiled eggs every other day, which made me very happy!
Location of the hotel was very good, straight down main roads to find the touristy areas, if you go in the other direction to the tourist areas you will find a supermarket, to stock up the fridge in your room. Closeby is a wonderful Mexican Bar called "Cantina", barman in there very nice and cocktails were great and cheap. People of Prague are very friendly and speak very good english.
We went to see a black light show by a company called "TaFantastika", they are nestled in the shops by the Old Town Square. We went to see a show called "Aspects of Alice", very loosely based on Alice in wonderland. It was very very impressive, and there was all mime so the language was not a problem. and i would suggest trying one of the black light theatres.
I don't think it can be said again really but i feel i must say it also.....DO NOT get a taxi from Ruzyne Airport. Luckily i read this page before and didn't fall into the trap. They will try and charge you 650Czk for something that will only cost you 20Czk, it really is a matter of a bus and then a tram, which will take you to about 100m from this hotel. Ask at the airport information for tickets etc, they will explain it, but it is simple.

Excellent value for money

Always hot power shower, clean rooms and linen, fridge, tv. Breakfast very continental but plentfiul. Very good location for restaurants, castle, sightseeing and Tesco!
Get the no.119 bus from airport to terminus and then catch the number 20 tram which stops you 1 min walk from hotel for 20czk (50p). Dont get a taxi its a rip off!

Good location clean hotel

Just returned from a short break trip to Prague (12-15 Jan 2006) - three couples. Couldn't fault the hotel for its standard of cleanliness and good location- only a 10 minute stroll to the Old Town and 15 minutes to the Castle and plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby on both sides of the river. Our rooms were all a decent size as were the bathrooms (showers only). I would highly recommend the Hotel to anyone as providing good clean basic accommodation at a competitive price (or at least ours was - booked via the Easy Jet hotels site).

Prices for food and drink in Prague are very cheap - so long as you stay clear of the main tourist route around Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square - even here though you'll only pay the prices you'd expect to pay in England. An example of this - we bought 6 (0.5 litre) beers in the George and Dragon just off the main Old Town Square for £12.50. We bought the same beer in a bar no more than 200 yards from the Charles Bridge for £3.00!

Good priced clean hotel

My husband and I have just returned from Prague and stayed at the City Partner Atos Hotel which I found on Easyhotels. The lift only went up to the fifth floor and we were on the sixth but it wasn't a problem. The room was very clean, ie the bedlinen and bathroom was spotless and the shower was great eventhough there wasn't a bath. The breakfast was plentiful albeit some strange things on the buffet table. But then we are British with limited ideas on what we should eat for breakfast! The location was good, maybe not quite as near to Castle Hill as what the webpages say but the transport in Prague is cheap and frequent so no problems. If anyone wants any tips on how to transfer from the airport then just email me and I will let u know how to do it for just 20 czk (50p) each!!

neat and tidy hotel

Hi went to hotel Atos on the 15th December and found that it was a pleasant hotel. The room was clean and tidy and had all you need which included a TV and fridge. I didn't eat the breakfast there instead we went to cafe Savoy that is around the corner from the hotel. The location is ideal and simply ten mins from all the central locations that you'd want to visit. Would go again.

Good Value for Money!!!

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday from 29th Dec to 31st. We found the hotel to be great value for money considering we left it quite late to book and all the hotel's I wanted were fully booked over the period I wanted to go. We were in one of the attic room's which were quite spacious and cosy. The bathroom was clean as a whistle and the shower was excellent.

On a slightly different note if you are intending to go to Prague for the first time at this time of year - Wrap up warm - we had -12 temp and foot of snow whilst we were there.

My wife and I stayed at the Atos from the 6th Nov - 10th 2005.
Flew easy jet from Newcastle, transfer from the airport to the hotel and back was by 123praha without any problems.
The Hotel despite building work being carried out on the 2nd floor was clean and the staff friendly.
Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice continental style, apple and orange juice, cereals, various yoghurts, cold meats, cheese, hard boiled eggs, hot dogs, brown and white bread plus sugary breads. Ordinary tea as well as herb tea and coffee. It certainly set us up for walking the sreets of prague. Its only 10 mins walk to Charles Bridge and to Wenceslass square/sreet, its more of a sreet than a square. The trams stop just outside the hotel to get you to most parts of Prague, we never needed to use them.
Plenty of eating places just far enough away from the main tourist areas to be a little more quiet and cheeper. La Bastille 5 mins walk towards the castle great food and atmosphere and not very expensive. It may be a good idea to reserve a table during weekends and the summer. Our aniversary meal was at the Strelecky Ostrov which is the small island off the first bridge that you come to from the hotel. It is the bottom restaurant of the two, it was expensive but for a special occasion well worth it.
We can truly recommend the location and the hotel,not to mention the price £30 per night thats £15 each to avoid any confusion. You can even book direct with the hotel. The transfer by Martin at 123praha cost 600 crowns each way thats £15 each way, he was on time no hassles.

Top Local Tips for Prague

Decent First Night Restaurant It's always hard finding a decent first night restaurant after landing in an unfamiliar city with multitudes of decent 'looking' restaurants. After reading several reviews we headed round the corner to the Pilsner Urquell restaurant and had a fantasticand reasonably priced meal. The food was good basic Czech cooking served by friendly staff Oh yes the beer was very good, cheap and plentiful as well.

Money Exchange Shop around and don't use Western Union, I made a silly mistake and lost over 20% in exchanging money at one of their places. Off the western end of Charles Bridge about 200 yards on the left as you walk away from the bridge there is a small crystal shop advertising good exchange rates on the wall outside, these are genuine 0% commission rates. If your in the area, go there.

Public transport is widely available, but... The town is concentrated enough that you might end up walking more than transitting. We recommend purchasing individual trip tickets, instead of the three day pass unless you are planning on lots and lots of commuting.
