Good location

Atlantic is small hotel situated quite in the middle of the city. Nightlife is everywhere arround. The location is practical for car drivers as I did myself. Good service with professional staff . Breakfast excellent, cleaning service as well. I can highly recommend.

Central and Good Value

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. All-in-all I would agree that it represents good value for money - it is centrally located within easy reach of all the main attractions and public transport. It is also very convenient to the Cedaz taxi service as the Cedaz terminus is Namesti Republik. (Cedaz offer a service to and from the Airport for EUR3 per person compared to EUR22+ charged by other taxis). The rooms were a little out-dated but they were clean and comfortable. Whilst it was snowing and cold whilst we were there we found the rooms perfectly warm & comfortable. The bathroom had been recently renovated to a high standard. Breakfast was plentiful. Be warned however, they started to clear the breakfast buffet at 10am sharp! Staff were friendly & efficient once they had finished their game of pool behind the bar. The bar was very pleasant and a nice place for a drink in the evening - I think it closed about 11pm. I noticed that the hotel was a member of the Prague Small and Charming Hotels alliance. I would have to disagree as I found the hotel neither small nor charming but all-in-all perfectly adequate. Another small matter - the picture of the hotel facade on Expedia (& therefore Tripadvisor) is a different Hotel Atlantic! The real facade looks like the one on the hotels own website ... hotel-atlantic.cz

Hotel Atlantic is a great hotel with a good location. There was nothing to complain about. Nice and clean room, helpful staff, excellent breakfast and a very cosy lobby bar. I will come back.

After a two weeks trip around eastern Europe we finished at this hotel. Excellent hotel in terms of room, breakfast and service. Very efficient staff eager to do everything fr you. House bar was lovely and cheap. They had a nice sellection of cuban cigars.

It's true the room in Hotel Atlantic is really spacious, clean and the staff are extremely friendly & helpful. However its best not to stay there if you plan to visit Prague during the winter (I went down on dec 12-15) because the heating system in the room is not very good and it was freezing cold even though the heater was on full blast. Had to hop into the shower (at times the water is not warm enuff) & out & straight under the covers (had to request for Xtra blankets). Reception of the tv in my room was really really bad too. And yes don't forget to bring shampoo and conditioner (coz they don't provide any)

Breakfast was pretty good. The normal cereal, eggs, ham, bread & saussages. Yup! The drinks at the bar r really cheap (the beauty of prague =))

Basically, the hotel is pretty good value for money. Though on the whole I wouldn't recommend it for the winter.

Prague is nice! Though tooo too cold in the winter. I love the trdlo & hot apple & the oh so cheap food. =)

Went to this hotel back in April and was really impressed with it. Great location just five minutes from Wenceslas and old town squares.

Rooms were a decent size and while not to everyones taste were immaculate, very clean and tidy.

Staff were really friendly and helpful

Breakfast was really good and a great selection and the hotel bar was pretty cheap (70p a pint).

The hotel was generally more practical than luxurious but depends what you're looking for and is really good value for money.

I've already booked to go back in January and would reccomend it to anyone!

Thanks to all the honest reviews I've read before booking this hotel, we stayed at Atlantic Hotel 2nd wk of Nov and we were very happy with the hotel. Room decor is not the most updated but very clean and spacious. Watch out for bathrooms that do not have a tub/enclosed area, if you are not used to it you might flood you entire bathroom with water! Breakfast is very good. Walking distance to main tourist attractions. I would definitely stay at Atlantic Hotel again!! Have fun...Prague is a beautiful city!!!!

Reasonable hotel close to the main sights of Prague

We stayed at the Hotel Atlantic for 4 nights in October. The hotel is very well located, only 5 to 10 minutes walk from the sights and restaurants of Prague's Old Town Square. It's also convenient to trams and the Metro at Republic Square. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good. The only drawback was the decor of the room, which hadn't been updated since the 1970s. It'll probably be back in fashion soon. But the room was clean and spacious and had en-suite facilities and a TV; ours was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet. The ground floor rooms have been modernised and are fine - maybe some of the bedrooms have been too. I'd stay there again, but I'm not sure about recommending it to a firend, given the decor of some of the rooms.

This hotel was quite central but our room which was a flashback from the 70's era was overlooking the busy street below so we had the constant noise of the cars,trucks and trams.
We had to queue for 10 minutes for a seat to have breakfast one morning.
Besides that i found the staff very helpful and the lobby bar was a good place to have a drink before dinner.

We stayed in the Atlantic hotel, we found this hotel perfect location. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful! We also booked up for friends to stay there, hope they enjoy it as much as we did!

Top Local Tips for Prague

Karlovy Lazne If you are between 18-25 (give or take a few years) you should head to the karlovy lazne club next to charles bridge for a few hours of dancing and fun! it as 6 floors and is a really good spot especially for a group of girls heading away. Now be warned...it is a little dated, with neon lights and smelly toilets and grubby walls (sounds appealing?) but it is one of the better clubs in prague and has plenty of floors to keep everyone entertained. It does seem to have more male clubbers than female! the booze is cheap (about the only place in prague that has cheap anything) you can get double vodka and red bull for the equivalent of 6 euros. well worth it if you want a night of serious fun!

Fast reliable public transport Wherever you want you go, the system of public transport will get you there ON TIME. It's fast and easy to find either a bus, Tram or nearby metro to whisk you away to your destination. From the Airport to Namesti Republiky in the centre of Prague took abour 40 mins..... IT'S EASY ! ! !

Dont use the taxis Dont Exchange money Dont use the taxis (except AAA- even then agree a price and ensure the meter is runnig). All othet taxis are crooks. No joke! Dont exhnage money on the street with ANYONE!
