Great Hotel!!!

This hotel is a little bit far from the city center, which makes it much better. There are 2 cinema complex and a huge mall near it. Try the Gold Class cinema near the hotel. I never saw a better cinema in my life.
It is located 40m from the yellow metro. You have every possible tram, include 2 night trams.
The rooms are extremely comfortable, the breakfast is great, the Oscar restaurant is good, and the staff is so nice. I have only good words.
I have two comments:
1. The grand tour (included in the golden package) is waste of time, unless they have changed the provider.
2. When you have to pay the bill, pay in cash. My confirmation was stated in Euros. I had only a credit card, which they can charge only by their local currency. I must say that they screwed me with the conversion ratio. I can understand; it is a hotel. I just would like you to be prepared.
Please don't hesitate to stay there!

amazing pillows!

Excellent hotel, the rooms are really clean and comfortable, and the beds are so comfy! However, the heated floor didnt seem to do much!
I would really recommend this hotel, its in a nice location with a few shops around, although at nite it seems to be a little quieter as there arent many bars or restaurants around. this hotel is great value for money and i would definately return in the future.

Striking hotel in moderately good location

from AvidVisitor
The hotel rooms are very modern and new, and also very functional. The breakfast buffets are excellent, with changes each day. Each room has very good high-speed Internet access for laptops, although at an unusually steep charge of 20 Euros per day. The hotel location is at least a 20 minute walk from the center of Prague (the walk is through pleasant areas) or requires taking a tram. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay.

s impressed the unimpressible!

Andel's has to be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. From the chic ambience of the lobby and brasserie, to the opulent luxury of the executive floor Andels Club, I could not find one thing to complain about. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the cocktails served in the bar are second to none. Look out for the huge breakfast bar as it would be difficult to leave this place feeling hungry. I would recommend anyone who is even thinking about staying in Prague to check out Andels as it certainly helped to make my short break a fantastic one!

Avoid Andels

from LondonRani
Andels proved to be a disappointment. The rooms were certainly hip - but on the first day, the shower flooded the entire bathroom and much of the room too! They came to clean it up, but never apologised. Even though the carpet was soaking wet, they never offered us an alternative room. So we complained the next day, and grudgingly they agreed for us to move room.

The housekeeping was pretty poor too - we ran out of soap on day two, but had to use our own after then because they never replaced it. And when we checked out, they charged us in Czech Kroners at a bad exchange rate, despite the fact that the rate was quoted in Euros. We complained and again they just shrugged their shoulders.

We would definitely recommend staying in a hotel which is less hip but has half-decent service!

Great Hotel

from HT1
Stayed here as part of a large group in mid April. I was the organiser and I was actually a bit concerned that this ultra modern hotel might not be accepted well by the group when one expects older, and more traditional buildings in this city. However, everyone was very pleased. The rooms were a decent size, lovely modern bathrooms and an excellent breakfast. Whilst the hotel is a little bit out from the centre, it is located directly opposite a huge shopping centre with all the shops you could wish for. Both taxis (cheap) and the metro are readily available. Try it.

Quite simply, this is the best hotel that I have ever stayed in. We arrived hours before check in time but our room was ready nevertheless with its huge pillows, CD and DVD player and bathroom with underfloor heating. The complimentary breakfast is available until 11am and has everything you would ever imagine and the bar is also great. We walked into Prague and back every evening and it only takes about twenty minutes. If you are travelling to Prague, this is the only hotel you should consider, especially at the cheap rates that can be found on the internet.

Absolutely sensational!

from A TripAdvisor Member
It's worth visiting Prague for this hotel alone, there were so many good points to my stay that I find it hard to summarise them into a review! The staff were fantastic; efficient and super-friendly, and able to answer all out queries about Prague, the airport, internet connections, everything.

The building itself is very modern and relaxing, with a lot of muted colours and glass surfaces. The rooms are great, again very modern with underfloor heating and a sound system in the bathroom, DVD player, and extremely comfortable beds with huge pillows - just unbeatable.

The bar and restaurant are wonderful, room service is incredibly cheap yet lavishly presented, and the breakfast has to be seen to be believed. Again the waiting staff were friendly and efficient at every turn.

The hotel is located about a 20min walk from the centre of Prague which may put some people off, but you are only round the corner from the Andels metro station, and the walk into town is very pleasant. The area around the hotel is slightly shabby, but there were no problems whatsoever. The Andels Hotel is part of a very modern complex which is growing all the time, and it is situated across the road from a large modern shopping centre which has a Supermarket and Chemist as well as high street shops. The hotel will provide a car for you to the airport, at a very low price.

I really cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, especially at the price I paid. Andels is featured on many sites such as expedia, lastminute etc, so shop around for a bargain. I cannot wait to return.

PERFECT! You have to stay here!!

We got a fantastic deal through and spent 3 days at this excellent hotel. The rooms are ultra modern, clean, well equipped (except for an adaptor plug!)with a reasonably priced minibar for those late night after hours drinks. Besides the rooms, the bar/Oskar's brasserie is the best part. The cocktails are amazing and don't get me started on the food! The steak and salmon are the best you'll ever have. The breakfast buffet has everything you would want to eat before 11am. To top things off, they have their own taxi service which is always available and will get you where you want to go for not more than £10 a trip, which is worth it considering how many taxis will rip you off for more. If that's too much, Andels metro is a short walk around the corner, where a 3 day travelcard will set you back around £5. Then, after a tiring day, a one hour massage will set you back around £30 in the hotel gym. In a nutshell, this is in the same league as London's Sanderson Hotel but without the pretentiouness and high prices. Stay here!!!!

Top Local Tips for Prague

Beer pubs There is a lovely small beer pub near the castle with a hippo as sign. Very cosy and typical czech.

Subway If you have a problem with heights, be warned that the subway station escalators down to the platforms are very long and very fast. A good option is taking the trams which are great.

Arriving at Airport Use AAA Taxi via girls in yellow outside terminal.
