    Needs better service
The hotel itself is well appointed and the rooms we saw were clean and spacious. There was a substantial choice of breakfast options available all of good quality. This is also one of the best locations in the city being only a few minutes stroll from most attractions and amenities. Our booking was for a suite with a double bed, however when we arrived we were shown to a room with 3 single beds in it. When I politely complained, I was told by 2 members of staff that there was no double rooms available and that I had not in fact booked a double. Luckily I had kept the original booking form with me and could prove my reservation. At that point a double room mysteriously became available although it was of inferior quality to the room we were originally allocated, being smaller and lacking air conditioning. At no point did I receive an apology for the error. Overall, while the staff were quietly efficient, they seemed to take no pride in the quality of customer service they offered and... Read more

    Nice hotel, service disappointing
On arrival we were very impressed with the interior decor and standard of our room.Having had quite a lengthy trip however we opted for a quiet night and phoned to order room service. An unapologetic female voice on the other end said,"room service is not available because its Christmas Eve and if we wanted to eat we should go to the restaurant".Our Christmas meal of roast duckling the following night was totally inedible, and we once again went hungry. This is not what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel in any location!

Nice for European standards but expensive
Expensive, compared to other available options. Good location. Not much service or hospitality, but they would answer a question if you had one. The room was nice enough. I would stay there again if I couldn't get an apartment, which I think is a better deal. Not very memorable. We were looked at as "not good enough and not allowed in the casino because of not having on a suit and dress" The bar was ok. The room was hot and there was no individual controls so we had to open the window during a misty and snowy night.
