First problem after arriving was to find a Taxi that Knew where the Hotel was. You may now guess it is a long way out of the City in a Very run down area.
My wife and I arrived at the Hotel Midd afternoon
staff were very pleasant gave keys to our room when we got there I could see my wife's face drop. What had we came to the Beds were 2 singles although clean they were so cheap and cheerful. They were the worst squeaking beds I have ever Known. Then how to get into town!! None of the staff knew so we had to wait until morning and take a tram although very cheap to travel it seemed people were watching you ready to jump you and we found this very concerning.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

At hotel Sirak we found a hotel with almost everything. Smiling and nice service from the staff who also were able to speak english.
The food in the restaurant was fantastic, but the wine list was limited. With such delightfull meals it would be nice to choose from just a few more exquisite wines.
The breakfast was below the standard of the rest of the hotel but not too bad.
The facilities were a good chance to spend some time at the hotel for the entire family but the outdoor pool needed cleaning and the indoor pool was out of order. The petanque lane needed a bit of care but it proved its purpose. The bowling was closed and so was the restaurant one of the weekdays.
The nearby racetrack was a bit noisy but also something one could live with.
The location is great because is is close to the center of the town but still placed in the countryside. Also most has some nice sights to see and it is not far from other interesting places to go.
All in all a very nice place, but it could be fantastic by small improvements like cleaning up the petanque lane, cleaning and heating the swimming pool, more written information in english or german and so on.
Still the atmosphere, the service we got and the delightful meals makes it at least a 7 out of 10 and it is well worth a visit. |
