Mimosa Hotel was fantastic. The two best features were the staff and the beach. There are only a small staff of about 12 people, all of who seem to enjoy their work and because of this created a friendly, relaxed but professional atmosphere. I broke my ankle on the second day of my holiday (great medical care in Cyprus) and the staff at Mimosa went out of their way to find a ground floor room for us to move to and checked everyday to see how I was The breakfast were great and if you are half board you can change your evening meal for something from the daytime menu, great if you want to go out for the evening. My only negative comments would be that the evening buffet is a bit limited if you are vegetarian, but there was always a great salad buffet. The eating area is outside so you can sit and enjoys views of the beach while having breakfast and your evening meal. The beach is small and safe and just yards away from pool area and bar. It is used mainly by people from Mimosa Hotel. We never had trouble finding sun beds either around the pool or on the beach, even in August. The hotel and beach are used a lot by the lovely Cypriot people, which is as good a recommendation as any. All in all, a great small, privately run hotel. Great little beach, backing onto the hotel gardens but walk to your left (as you look at the sea) and you will come to another beach and a lovely headland used by the divers with a few old fashioned fishing boats. Great photo opportunity, as this then looks but at the hotel. Keep walking from here and you come to a few other nice beaches. A bit bigger with water sports etc. Lovely walk for early mornings and evenings and no need to go up onto the main road. A bit rocky, but we managed it in flip-flopsâ! Look out for the ice cream man who goes between these beaches but donât park in his spotâ¦.he will move you:-). Bars and restaurants were a little bit further away than we expected, and the bus service isnât brilliant, so being on crutches made it difficult to get to Protaras but the hotel will for a taxi for you. 7 Euros each way.
Protaras was disappointing, modern and purpose built, and a bit âdown-marketâ no old town or town square, and not many proper Cypriot family run restaurants. Head into the villages for this. A car would be an advantage if you want to go in search or a bit of culture or find somewhere nice to eat.

This was our 4th year at the mimosa and it was as always very clean and the staff very friendly-we were treated like family. Good place to just unwind and relax. Food is also very good.

Myself, my husband and my 8mth old daughter stayed at this hotel. It was such a beautiful place. Very quiet but everything you needed was there. Would recommend if you want to get out and about to hire a car but the main centre of Protaras is only 15min walk. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome, the pool was gorgeous and never busy. There was no fighting for sunbeds as the hotel is not huge so plenty to go about. Food was lovely, not much variety but it suited the size of the hotel. Will be booking to go back in September 2007. Best holiday ever.

We have been visiting this hotel for the past 14 years we try to go at least twice a year if we can & the reason is that this hotel is so clean the rooms are cleaned very day the staff are so polite & the food is excellent the swimming pools of which there is 1 adult pool & 1 childs pool are cleaned every day also within about 100yards from the hotel is a very quiet sandy beach very safe for children & very calm & clear sea water the hotel puts on various things at night & some nights you can just sit & relax the one night to watch for is the Greek evening with Greek dancers & sample the Greek foods & watch the man with the drinking glasses filled with water balancing them on his head whilst doing a Greek dance the record we think is 12 then you get to have a go all in all this hotel is very good for both families & couples that just need to relax we are definitely going back in 2007.

My and my boyfriend stayed here in the month of October. We both had a wonderful time the hotel is spotless and rooms are cleaned daily, food was lovely every night. Hotel is in a quiet area away from the town but in very easy reach to Protaras town and Ayia Napa town. The small sandy cove on which this hotel sits on is lovely clear water and very calm, brilliant for a good tan hee hee.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to couples and families and look forward to going back the mimosa beach hotel in the summer of 2007.

What a find! Just required one night in the busiest week in August. Very helpful person on reception (Yvonne)with a very freindly personality - instantly felt at home here.Very clean and well run. Will visit agin for longer next time. I can recommend this Hotel for its friendliness and its position - just out of the mainstream area so quieter than other places but still within easy reach of the night life up and down the coast.
