The rooms are basic but comfotable we got a smaller room in the hotel and there were no problems. Rooms are cleaned everyday and fresh towels for bathroom, the staff are very lovely and will do anything to make you feel comfotable. for the lights show dont pay 15 euros go to 4th floor and to the far left fire exit on to the roof can see it all for free. food is good mine and my boyfriends fave was the combo platter for two which is v nice. there is a sorna hiding in the indoor pool area and a small gym if your interested in being fit and healthy on ya hols :-) anyway is a lovely hotel we were on top floor lookin over Mc Donalds which wasn't a problem at all as we had a lovely view of the sea. we are 21 and 22 years old and would recommend it to anybody of our age or anybody with children. have a brill holiday. been to this hotel every time we go back to cyprus the staff are very friendly and alway,s remeber you the food great and it is very clean not been for two year,s going back this july can,t wait even my 18 year old granson liked it your were the night live is but you don,t hear it in your room great hotel

The Kapetanios is in a brilliant location, the rooms need a bit of updating but all in all the hotel is great,especially the staff who really do make you feel at home. I've been 4 times and although I know there may be better hotels in Protaras I keep going back to the Kapetanios. The food is good, the location perfect, the hotel is comfortable and as I said, the staff are fantastic!

Top Local Tips for Paralimni

Big Mac's have nothing on the food in the restaurants If you like food keep away from the big mac and go to a restaurant not much dearer and you get more for your money. The quality of the restaurants and second to none plenty off choice and food on plate.You can eat in a different restaurant every night for two weeks and then not been to them all.

DIY Look at going places on your own possibly, other than booking through the tour operators. shop around ! In peak season get a fast track ticket, to avoid queue's for the waterpark and make sure you are there for the bus home as it won't hang around. Visit Protaris in Sept/Oct. ITs quieter but still has atmosphere. ITs still hot temp rising from 9am to 3 (32-34 degrees) and cooler in the evening. Manageable.

troodos mountains if plan to take in a slef drive tour of the Troodoa mountains the alow plenty of Day light time and invest in a detailed map as road signs are few and far between.
