hotel cold, blocked toilet, indoor pool cold, outdoor pool area unkempt, no steam room, food mediocre, had to wait 3 days before they supplied buffet meals as there were too few guests,best part entertainment teams shows would not recomment it for a winters break

I give two point because of excellent pool area and location. Our room was not a 3 star room (I wouldn´t give any star at all): Toilet flush didn´t work first at all, then someone gave some "treatment" for it - then it worked but randomly. Main problem was air condition. In addition to these things, the room was dirty.

A few quiet nights in, think again

The rooms are quite basic and a little shabby, but have all the necessities and a balcony which is nice. Try to avoid getting a room that faces the road as the traffic can be quite noisy and carries on through the night. The BIGGEST problem is they only offer BBC 1 on TV. We were hoping for a few quiet and relaxing nights in but it's a very boring with only BBC1. There were 2 other channels but they were very fuzzy and when I asked reception they said that's just the way they are and if BBC is working then that's fine. The hotel has a kids club for 5 year olds and up. It offers nightly entertainment. The location is good as it's within walking distance of the harbour and bar street with many restaurants. I wouldn't recommend the hotel as there are so many better options available.

The Best Winter Holidays of all time

We have been coming here every year since 2003 and have found this hotel the best in Paphos. With reference to Gill's review note there are at least 6 barmaids/waitresses that operate on a rotation system, and they are very good and efficient at what they do. The hotel itself is in an excellent position and very very comfortable for the price you pay. All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you all they can. The food is excellent and the Head Chef very comical at times. We are due to go back there March 2007 to meet old friends again.

Very good hotel, we did have to change rooms as it was not what we expected but was clean, friendly, and hospitable, we would come back again!

This was our 4th time at the Mayfair and the best! The Animation team are brilliant - you will not find people like this anywhere and you enjoy the holiday so much. The rest of the staff are lovely, especially the three lovely little barmaid/waitresses, they smile all the time. We have met some lovely people there and in particular two families we met this time, we are all going back out to meet in september of this year. My husband and I are also planning to return in May 2007 because we love Pafos and this hotel so much.
