Lovely Holiday!from Kathys10
Overall though, we did have a good holiday.
Hotel with reservationsfrom A TripAdvisor Member
Have to pay for safe, tea making facilities complimentary, as long as you didn't want top ups! Limited supply of coat hangers.
Beds very hard, but overcome by a mattress topper provided on request.
The biggest down fall was the food. Selections were plentiful, but they are unable to cook it without it being dried up or tough! Many complaints from lots of guests on this front.
Management also wouldn't put air conditioning on in the main parts of hotel during day and evening, said it wasn't hot enough, but 36 degrees was hot enough for us. Fortunately unlimited aircon in bedrooms day and night compensated for this.
Staff mainly very friendly and helpful, rooms kept very clean.
Main beach 5 minutes away, ok if you like to be crammed in, full of locals, dirty dusty car park to walk through to get to beach, so you are filthy by the time you get there if you're not run over by the locals tearing in and out of car park. My recommendation is hop on a bus to the next bay, situated by the Corrilla beach hotel, it was lovely and reasonably quiet, unlike its counterpart. Good bus service into Paphos, nice harbour and restuarants. Car hire expensive, but you do need to get out of Coral Bay.
Surroundings very down market, bars, restaurants and one or two supermarkets. Not conducive to a pleasant evening stroll. Pavements are lethal, so many people with arms in slings and legs in plaster.
Certainly won't be visiting this hotel or restort again.
Great location, average hotelfrom minkalala
Generally the hotel was fine but I'll share a few of my grumbles for your info..
I think the charge for the tea and coffee making facility has already been mentioned on this site - 2 CYP a day a bit steep for 1 sachet of coffee and use of the kettle!
Air Con in the rooms great - however there is no air con whatsoever in any other part of the hotel. Corridors, lifts, restaurant and bar are all pretty warm! It wasn't a major problem but for the class of hotel you'd expect better.
The food was ok - the breakfast was very good. If you go H/B you are able to swap your evening meal for the lunch which I would strongly recommend as the restaurants in Coral Bay are lovely. In particular I would recommend El Faro (for the Kleftico) and the Coral King (for steaks).
The hotel is in a greal location - if they spent a bit of money updating the decor, installing better air conditioning hiring some friendlier members of staff they would do well.
Ok for a break - don't go there for a special occasion.
Friendly Staff, excellent facilitiesfrom ElizabethSouthampton
Loved it!from A TripAdvisor Member
The hotel has a amazing gym in the basement which we used each morning to obtain an appetite for the hearty breakfast which was on offer each morning. There was plenty of choice from cearels, croissants, full cooked breakfast and cold meats, fruit and yoghurt. We were glad we did not go All Inclusive which is an option available as breakfast and dinner filled us up. The dinners were great too, with a different choice and speciality on offer each evening. There was oriental eveing, italian evening, french etc. You can help yourself to as much as you can eat!
Bedrooms were comfortable with lovely furniture and fittings. The air condition were perfectly and the views from our balcony were gorgeous. We could not fault our room, although there was a minibar in the room you had to pay for, should you wish to use it. I was only disappointed that you had to pay for bottled water. I would have thought that could have been supplied to the room each day, free of charge.
The hotel actually is a short walk down to Coral Bay beach which took us about 5 minutes and it is worth it. The beach is a small piece of paradise with a couple of little restaurants where you can sit and enjoy a drink and something to eat, whilst looking at the gorgeous view of the bay.
We took a taxi to the airport when coming home as the coach from the airport took about 45 minutes in total, after 5 drop offs! The taxi driver was cypriot and full of useful information. He even offered to show us around the island if and when we return.
We later found out that 40,000 Brits live in Pafos along, and I can see why. The weather is wonderful and we did not see a cloud all week. The people are friendly, helpful and kind and their pace of life is definitely much better than English.
We are hoping to return to this hotel within the next couple of years with family.
Lovely hotel but they want money for everythingfrom A TripAdvisor Member
We felt we got great VFM but they do try very hard to get you to part with your money when you arrive. They charge extra for tea making facilities, the safe and they have a minimum spend on the minibar should you choose to use it. You will also get a notice informing you that all drinks and food comsumed in the room must be bought from the hotel.Of course that would make our stay very expensive so we were busy smuggling in bottles of water.
There are plenty of good restaurants and bars in the resort but if you are looking for a booming nightlife then this probably isn't the place for you.
brilliant hotel we loved itfrom A TripAdvisor Member
i travelled with my boyfriend on 15th april and we stayed all inclusive which i would definetly recommend, the food was excellent especially the scrambled eggs at breakfast, and we only ate out twice in 2 weeks, there is a street of bars restaurants and a nightclub just outside the hotel if you fancy a change of scenery. the beach is less than a 5 min walk although we stayed mainly around the pool, if the weather isnt so good theres an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steamroom and gym in the basement of hotel also to keep you busy there are daytime activities everyday except sunday. while we were there the weather was good a bit cloudy at times but never cold even on a night it was still warm enough for short sleeves,
the rooms were lovely newish carpets and a clean and tidy bathroom and balcony the maid service was really good,
yeah fair enough you did have to pay for tea making facilities in your room after 1st day but lets face it if thats all there is to complian about well it cant be bad can it we have rebooked for end of summer cant wait.

Lovely Hotel but........from A TripAdvisor Member
However, there were one or two minor things that were irritating. In a four star hotel, we do not expect to have to pay an additional charge for tea making facility in the room nor for coffee after dinner in the evening. When querying the latter, we were told that they did not have the facility in the evening to provide coffee. When I pointed out that it was the very same facility which was plugged in and switched on in the same restaurant for breakfast, it was met with a shrug and no further discussion.
On the whole the staff were pleasant but it was not the friendliest hotel we have stayed in.
t Be Disappointed!from holiday72
We were most impressed with the cleaniness and service at the hotel it was full whilst we were there, but tables were always available in the restaurant and the service was fantastic. Staff were also friendly and very attentive.
You had the choice of eating outside on a lovely terrace or in, we always opted for outside. We were halfboard which worked well as you could swap evening meal for lunch so we did this on alternate days and tried the local restaurants nearby too!
There was also a reasonable sized gym, swimming pool and health spa in the basement of the hotel too if you fancy exercise whilst on holiday!
The hotel is positioned in a great place - 5 min walk to the beach which although was busy it was not cramped (I heard in the summer/peak times it got very crowed very quickly) and a stonethrow from the restaurants/bars.
The only criticism is that there wasn't much vegetarian choice for the evening meal, but since we could swap eve. meal for lunch it was not really a problem.
Top Local Tips for Paphos
Attractions - Excursions There are good local buses stopping a key attractions like the Mosaics by the harbour and the tombs of the kings. The two organised excuriions I went on were not the best. Most disappointing was the Cyprus in a day.
Bird Park Don't go! - Expensive and nothing to see.
Great place Enjoy your selves
