Fantastic hotel

We have visited this hotel 4 times it is by far the best nice freindly staff peace and quiet when sunbathing. Nice class of people stay at this hotel, no kids, food excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

A very nice, clean hotel and well worth the four star plus rating. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the rooms clean and functional. Pleanty of sun beds to lounge around on during the day and three very nice pools to cool off in. Although a 25 mins stroll to centre of paphos there are enough bars and good restaurants close at hand.

Hotel had just opened and if there were any teething problems the guests knew nothing of them, as the efficient and friendly staff must have shielded them from us, as our fortnightÂ’s holiday was perfection personified

Excellent once again

Hi this was my third visit to the Royal and it was a great two weeks once again. I only had two meals in the Hotel and they were first class. I would recommend anyone to book early for 2007 as the Royal is very popular at the moment.

Struggling at 4 stars!

I stayed here in August with my boyfriend for a two week holiday, having visited cyprus previously also with my family for over 10 years! I have stayed in the majority of hotels in paphos and although the hotel was nice and relaxing- adults only, i agree with the gentleman who wrote food was very repetitive. Quality of food is very basic three star food and certainly if you like your food ie choice and variety you will be very disappointed. The rooms are clean and well kept and the pool area was very relaxing and comfortable. Entertainment was very boring pensioner style piano bar with same drab songs every evening and rip off prices to boot! Most people have one drink and then go to dinner or finish off with a night cap. Breakfast satisfactory although fresh orange they charge you an extra £1, hardly 5 star service!! Overall pleasant hotel, good location to all amenities, although car is recommended to visit the beaches and no giddy kids, but if food and quality entertainment is what you are looking for the Coral Beach hotel still reigns for me- Fantastic!

From minute we arrived with our complimentary bottle of wine and fruit to the minute we left the hotel and staff were excellent.Room lovely,food first class-champagne for breakfast.Plenty of sunbeds and no children-peaceful.Hotel close to everything,harbour a 20 minute leisurely walk.Beach at hotel rocky but small beach 5 minutes away.We would definately go back to this hotel it should be 5 star

This is the second time we have stayed at the Athena Royal and it was just as good each time. Everything was perfect the staff were very helpfull, and manager Harris makes sure everything is just right. With no children under 16 the hotel is a calm oasis!

A Great Hotel

We have been using Paphos for the last 20 years and this Hotel is one of the best on the Island. Anybody thinking of using the Royal take some Clip type coat hangers with you as the wardrobes are very narrow. Enjoy your Holiday.
