my wife cathy and i stayed at hotel for 3 weeks and we have to say it was one of the best holidays we have ever had, we were here last year and the entertainment was rubbish but this year we have to say it was greatly improoved, this hotel catters for all ages and you get a chance to meet some really nice and friendly people, the hotel management are really good to get a long with as all bar staff and cleaners are, we really enjoyed the 2 boys entertaining us in the day time with activities they had fantastic sense of humour and thru them met many new friends, the one downer me and my wife had was the air conditioning in the main dinning hall you no sooner sat down for your meal and the sweat was pouring out of you but this was down to people opening the windows by their tables which effects the air con, i will be returning to this hotel next july as i think i found a wonderfull place in cyprus and was able to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings thanks to all the team from ascos beach hotel.

Just returned from Ascos Beach, staff nice and friendly, rooms cleaned regularly. Food often cold, especially breakfast and evening meal. Entertainment not very good, Bingo every night! Not much opportunity for dancing if you like that sort of thing. Two good entertainment acts. Quiz, and also roulette table, cards and no entertainment on Sundays. Nice quiet hotel, plenty of sun beds, lovely pool and relaxing area. Shame that the entertainments team did not take comments seriously. Would not return there as did not think it matched up to what was portrayed in the brochure. Shame as it has potential.

Friendly staff always smiling nothing too much trouble just ask and they get what you want. The food we found was a very good selection we like the seperate dinning area at night. Dress code applies. We were here 3 years ago and we think the idea of the waiters and waitress getting your drinks for you instead of queing at the bar is much better this time. The pool is cleaned daily and so are the rooms. The entertainment could have been better, but the girls did their best overall. We enjoyed our stay and will go back again.

We booked a holiday at this hotel on the advice of Thomas Cook as a 21st birthday present for my son and his girlfriend. Whilst we enjoyed Cyprus the hotel and the service from Thomas Cook was nothing short of dreadful. Where do I start? The room - mosquito infested, stinky with torn curtains and bedspreads, mould throughout the bathroom, wallpaper peeling, airconditioning that didn't work and dirty The hotel - passageways that were just plain filthy, lifts that didn't work, amenities that were broken and the reception staff - don't you dare say you are unhappy because you will get told off. The food - breakfast that consisted of watered down juice, stale pastries, scrambled egg that had to be sliced, cereal that resembled cardboard ... despite having paid half board we ate out thereafter. Thomas Cook - told them we wanted to be moved asap - three weeks later they have still to come near us. To be fair don't think the airhead who is the rep had ever got passed the reception or stayed in a hotel of any quality, and just could not understand what the problem was. Whilst this hotel may have been good - top hotel in 1998 (sign is still there) - give it a wide berth. Anyone who tells you different clearly has never stayed in a decent hotel and has no concept of quality, service or good food.

Definately not a 4*

This hotel is well overdue for refurbishment. It rates more like a two star than four. The entertainment was very poor, the lifts repeatedly failed, the all inclusive is limited and the attitude of the staff was extremely mixed. I have been to Cyprus on a number of occasions, staying in 3 and 4 star hotels; this was definitely the worst ever.

This hotel was excellent with very friendly staff all round, the Thomas Cook entertainment team worked really hard with Adam,Laura,Emily and Miss Wales always providing a most enjoyable time both through the day and night activities. We cannot understand why some people have made unjust comments on the hotel or entertainment team maybe they did not join in as we did to make this holiday special Thank you all Judy and Noel won't forget the tee shirts

We had a wonderful holiday at this hotel, one of the best. Very relaxing (no kids heaven) massive room with 2 balcony's, food and drink were quite adequate avaible from 7am-12pm could always find something, most of the staff were very nice, polite and very helpful, ok could do with a face lift but it was fine.

Went to this hotel in early december. It was the worst holiday experience we had. Lousy food, dirty rooms, hard bed, towels not changed, heating not working properly. Terrible, terrible food I would not feed my worst enemy. Worst of all was the staffs attitude. They did not seem to care at all. Also, the location is terrible, everything was closed, we had to go to paphos to be entertained, 20 minutes by car.

I went to the Ascos with my dad (64) and sister (27) and we all had the best two weeks ever! The hotel is clean, well managed and just what you expect from an AI. Food good, became a little bit dull towards end of 2 wks but overall plenty of choice. Entertainment staff were excellent, friendly, funny and dedicated. Bar staff and waiting staff mostly polish and again very attentive and helpful. Beautiful views from the bungalows where we stayed although steep walk up hill was a bit of a killer in the heat! Pool lovely and plenty of sun beds so no need to put towels out. Hired a jeep for 3 days so we could see the rest of the island, would reccommend going to the mountains and Polis is beautiful. Coral Bay is a small resort but has plenty of good bars, restaurants and shops all worth a look. The hotel guests tended to be a bit older than me and my sister but everyone was soooo friendly, you cant go a day without speaking to someone new which was lovely. I would go back and may do in Oct as this was a perfect holiday all round :) Final comment, beach next to hotel is very rocky but we swam there everyday as water so clear and cool!Coral bay sandy but very crowded so not really our thing, however buses take you all over the island so plenty of others to choose from. Enjoy!!
