top class for family breakfrom jubs
We had an Easter break here and had probably the best holiday we have ever had.
Weather was great and we had 2 adjoining rooms on the 4th floor.
Good points , free organised sports with Erhan, footy each day on a proper 6 a side pitch and swimming is excellent in a choice of huge pools.
Food in all restaurants, we dined in the buffet and the Balthazar fine dining, and both were great.
There were 2 organsied free casino nights, and movies for the kids in a conference room
Staff were friendly and attentive, nothing too much trouble.
bad points......er... none really, a bit steep for drinks/minibar etc but what do you expect from a 5 star resort, also beach is not up to much but the site is huge and the lawns are better than sand anyway.
If you have kids, you can really relax as they are on-site but can away from you with safety as the site is self contained and gated.
All in all, whilst nothing is perfect, I travel a lot , and believe me this is as good as most, and service is almost at far-east levels.
excellent hotelfrom A TripAdvisor Member
the location could be a little better as I was not that keen on limassol. The only negative point was the beach was a little poor not having any yellow sand on it on the black sand. It will not spoil your stay its just always better to be fore warned
Beautiful hotel, amazing spa - great experiencefrom Wesleyb
From our point of view the location about 15 minutes outside of Limassol was perfect as we were looking for a quiet break.
A couple of the swimming pools were closed for refurbishment, but there was still plenty of room available to lie out.
The food was wonderful - fresh and plenty of choice with at least 4 restaurant choices open each night. Staff were lovely - with the exception of a couple on reception. Good news - due to popular demand, the Japanese restaurant will now open indoors in the winter months.
If you stay here, you absolutely have to try the Spa. Staff are discreet and professional, there are 46 treatment rooms and thalassotherapy and it was a perfect way to ensure a relaxing trip.
A highly recommended experience and I'll definitely go back.
A chill-out experiencefrom A TripAdvisor Member
Nothing has changed - it was great! Very attentive staff, good restaurants.
Saw other hotels in Limassol purported to be five star, but nowhere near as much space as Le Meridien.
Take a break from the restaurants on the complex and try the new Lebanese restaurant open this year just outside the main gate. Take the 30 bus into Limassol, very cheap and great fun.
Can't wait to go back!

the actual hotel and resort are fantastic and very clean. however we found the villas in need of some updating!
The prices are high for drinks and some food, and the we found there was no shop on the resort which sold water or cold drinks, which of course ensures you buy from the bars.
The beach is disappointing, if you are a person who likes their beach holidays i would suggest you go elsewhere, as although you can swim in the sea, the sand and out look is horrible.
The standard of food at the resort was fantastic, although pricey, you felt you were getting good quality food.
i would also suggest going outside of the resort to a resturant on the way to limissol called Terra Marra, outstanding food, offering a 4 course meal for around £25 english pounds, the service is amazing and the atmosphere even better.

Le Meridien a wonderful quality hotel.from A TripAdvisor Member
Breakfasts were all you could wish for, and you could have a lovely table by the poolside overlooking the sea, quite splendid, anda wonderful way to start the day. All of the breakfast staff, with exception of female maitre D' (an extra from the SS) were friendly and very efficient.
Lunch by the pool was good, but really one meal between two is adequate, and the Japanese and A La Carte restaurants were first class.
My only grumble about the place is not the Hoteliers fault, but generally the usually british parents of children who are allowed to run wild with no care for other guests, but LeMeridien is not alone there these days I'm afraid.
All in all a wonderful hotel that I would consider using on my next visit to Cyprus.
Almost perfectfrom sjwoolnough
The hotel also offers villas in the grounds which are perfect for families and they are only a short walk to the main hotel. There is a wide choice of restaurants too. Sadly we won't go back because we love the beach and although technically there is a beach there it is AWFUL! I can't understand how such a high class hotel with perfectly manicured gardens can let them end at a muddy, dirty strip of gravel/sand. If they could only dump a few tons of sand on top this hotel would be perfect.
Overpriced for what it offered.from A TripAdvisor Member
We have stayed in many luxury resorts around the world and we felt that Le Meridien was far too expensive for what it offered. The accommodation, food and spa were all very very overpriced.
We stayed in the Spa Wing of the hotel which offered a fair sized room although it lacked atmosphere. The bed was hard as a rock which gave me more back trouble than it was worth!
The overall decor of the hotel was disappointing .... it had a very 1980's look and feel about it. I think it is in need of redecorating to bring it up to the decor standards of today. Having said this, it was very clean everywhere.
Every meal we had at the hotel was very tasty although it was very expensive! There was a great choice of restaurants at the hotel but because there is such a wide choice, it meant that many of the restaurants were half empty in the evenings and this was suppose to be peak holiday time!
The spa treatments were very expensive but I do highly recommend a visit to the hydrotherapy pools which are amazing. This is meant to be one of the best spas in the world but having been to numerous luxury spas, I wouldnt go as far as to say this about the Spa at Le Meridien. I would call it average at best.
The service at Le Meridien was very good ... actually it was one of the highlights of the trip. Most of the staff were very attentive and even went so far as to take it upon themselves to surprise us with a birthday cake in our room as it was my birthday. I thought that was a very nice personal touch.
Beach and Pool
There are a number of pools to enjoy and most importantly a "no children allowed" pool for those seeking peace and tranquility although I noticed children in that pool on various occasions. The beach at the hotel was very disappointing - the sand was dark and "muddy-like" in appearance and the water was filled with large boulders which I think would make for trecherous swimming if there are waves coming in. From what we observed, most people just sit by the numerous pools.
Overall, we werent impressed with Cyprus in general, the hotel less so. As there are so many other lovely places to visit, we won't be going back to Cyprus or Le Meridien anytime in the future.
Room had a great sea view and was spotlessly clean - bathroom facilities are a little out of date, but in good condition. Night time turn-down service, with chocolates, is a nice touch.
Ate at the pool-side restaurant and outdoor Italian restaurant - there's also a Japanese restaurant on the lagoon....great choice at breakfast too.
Excellent feedback from colleagues who used the spa facilities.
There's a daily aerobics session in the pool and for those who prefer something a little more relaxing, there's a choice of swimming pools, with attentive staff providing beach towels and organising refreshments.....pure pampering.
Staff helpful organising taxis into Limassol - approx 15 minute journey, costing CY£7.
Would definitely return.....enjoy.
Top Local Tips for Limassol
rent a car you should rent a car to travel arround. Especially from Limassol you can go easy to Trodos mountains, Pafos, Aya Napa and sea all the things there are to sea. Cultural or adventure it's easy to reach. Don't stay only in Limassol because the inlands are so beautifull and people are so kind in the small villages. With loads of tavernes where you can eat the local Meze.
Keep off the 'Sea' Side! We learnt that when eating on Limmasol strip to keep away from the left side - nearest to the sea as these places try and pull you in off the streets with "cheap" prices and are not that nice, there are some lovely bars and eateries on the other side of the road - bit more expensive but lots nicer - try the irish bar for the best cocktails!
Wheelchair access My daughter uses a wheelchair & we experienced no real problems in the hotel grounds. A couple of ramps are a bit steep. The free hotel shuttle bus to town is not suited to anyone with wheelchairs or children's buggies.
