one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. 20th anniversary celebration. Our youngest of 10 was with us but had a great time either at kids club or at the pool with friends that he had met during the week. Very friendly staff, wonderful chinese restuarant, overall great time, felt totally spoilt and just did nothing - great!

Simply superb!

The Four Seasons has totally spoiled us. We are going back again this year because we know we are guaranteed quality in all areas. The service is exemplary and always with a smile - nothing is too much trouble. The food is divine, which ever of the three restaurants you choose. Our favourite was the outside one (where a huge buffet breakfast was also served every day) which had theme evenings - nothing tacky - but moutainous amounts of wonderful food: Chinese one night, then perhaps Mexican, or Indian, Italian and so on. Alongside that there was a full a la carte menu to choose from too! Bliss! The rooms were of a very good size, exceptionally clean and towels and linen were changed every day - towels twice! The main pool area was beautiful, clean and had water falls and a swim-in jacuzzi - great fun - and waiter service too for cooling drinks or snacks. This time we are taking our 17 year old son, last time he was 13, and it is his wish really that this is his last holiday with us - he had a wonderful time before, especially as he is a faddy eater and the hotel room service pandered to his every whim! By the end of the holiday he only had to mention his name to the room service people and within minutes he had his specially prepared food delivered to the door!! Yes, it is expensive, but as the saying goes, you only get what you pay for!
Just the tiniest of niggles and not the hotels fault - there were quite a few Russian guests there when we went...it would appear that they have not yet grapsed the importance of good manners or courteous behaviour. Perhaps they have learnt in the last few years that it's not the done thing to barge into the front position at a small line of people waiting for their fried eggs to be freshly cooked,or to dump other peoples personal posessions onto the floor from the sun loungers and deposit their own bits!
It was simply the best holiday we have ever had...and the best hotel we have ever stayed in!

We stayed in the Four seasons with our 3 children for October half term. The kids club facilities were great, and the girls were English speaking a very warm and friendly. It was safe, well staffed and secure (although there was no lock on the door a loud bell sounded when you entered the room) There were a couple of childrens pools (one of which was shaded and the other had a slide) The food was good and always had a varied menu. The staff were excellent and nothing was a problem. They had refurbished the bedrooms and there was a frosted window in between the bedroom and bathroom which wasn't great if you needed to use the bathroom while someone was sleeping as it would light up the bedroom. My biggest criticism would have to be the sunbed situation. There was a queue of people from 7am to get beds facing the sun every morning. The beds were also very close together. So if you came down to the pool at 11am you would be lucky to get a bed in the sun.
Besides those points, the hotel and staff are excellent for familes with children and I would happily go again.

We came to Cyprus to spend Christmas here but unfortunately found this hotel to be very impersonal. Thet seem to pay a lot of attention to the product but not the people aspect of it.A nice hotel though.
Nice hotel, shame about the area ...

We stayed at the four seasons for a week's R&R in September and have to agree that the hotel itself and the service was great. We had a Beach Suite which had it's own little garden and quick and easy access to the beach and were more than happy with the accomodation. If you have stayed at more"Boutique" style hotels, you may be a little disappointed, but overall the quality of the rooms was pretty high. The food at the hotel was of consistently high standard, but we did venture out of the hotel on most nights to try some of the local restaurants which in general disappoint. There are two however which I do recommend: Il Saporo (Italian) which is about 400m down the road from the hotel (on the left as you exit the hotel) and Ledas Fish Tavern down by the port in Limassol (excellent fish - well worth the trip there).
Do not bother renting a car or buying any of the local tours to the ruins etc - complete waste of time and very disappointing (unless you have never been to any of the historic sites such as Efesus in Turkey).
Would I go back there? No: but this is more to do with the surrounding area than the hotel itself which I do rate.

Fantastic Four Seasons!

My Fiance and I stayed for a week at the Four Seasons in September and thought it was fantastic! From the moment you arrive to when you leave, the staff are extremely helpful. We did stay in one of the non sea view rooms which overlook the road, and although the view isn't very nice, we didn't find the noise a problem, and didn't want to spend too much time on the balcony anyway as the outside areas in the hotel are wonderful. The adult only pool is great - Michaelis who works at the bar there is lovely and a real asset to the hotel. We loved the adult pool so much we didn't even use the other one (although that looked great too!).
Our room was nice, with a great jacuzzi bath. The maids will clean your room later in the day if your not up and about early. I did find the bed a bit too soft, but that's my only complaint.
The Spa is really nice. If you book a treatment, arrive a bit early and have a juice in the very relaxing waiting area.
The food at the hotel is fab, the prices are what you would expect from a 5* hotel. Breakfast is a feast of whatever you may want, from fruit, to eggs, to pancakes. If you do want to eat outside the hotel, the Italian almost next door (mentioned by other reviewrs) is superb, also Mamas on the other side of the road is well worth a meal.
We loved the hotel so much we're going back for our honeymoon!

Fantastic hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Four Seasons for the first week of October 2005. It's a corporate-style, large hotel - not the sort of place to go if you want a boutique-type atmosphere, but of its type, it's probably the best I've ever stayed in. The service is very good; the maids were very thorough, ice was delivered to our room in 5 minutes flat, the waiters were great, all in all nothing bad to say about the staff. I believe the hotel has been recently refurbished and they've gone for a chic type of decor, not chintzy but minimal. Our room was lovely, we picked a sea view as we'd read previous reviews about the noisy road on the other side of the hotel, and I'm glad we did as the traffic did seem loud. The bathroom was really big with a seperate shower and the main bedroom was very big with a very soft bed - too soft for some, I'd guess.
The pool area was fantastic, probably the best thing about the hotel. There is a big main pool and a smaller adults only pool at a seperate location - plently of room for everyone and really well designed. There is also a beach just below the hotel which was pleasant enough, but the pool was so fantastic we didn't go there that often.
The gym at the hotel is very good indeed, quite big and airy with lots of machines. There is also an indoor pool with fibre optic lights that glow on the bottom, making everything really pretty.
There are hardly any negatives, but i do have a couple. One being the cost of in-room movies (before you ask, it wasn't one of those sorts of movies!) but it cost 10 Cyprus pounds (about £12) which is just ridiculous. I am prepared for a 5 star hotel to be expensive, but that was a little over the top. Also, the service at the outdoor bar area at night could be a little slow, particularly when it got busy.
I would really recommend this place to anyone - young, old, families or couples - it has something for everyone

Excellent Hotel
from SolihullTraveller
We have just come back from the Four Seasons and although we've never been before I did do some checking on the internet for impartial reviews. This sights comments (bar one) are spot one, the facilities are excellent, the service was first rate, there is plenty of choice for high quality food and the accommodation is beautiful, although go for a sea view if you can. I liked the fact that you weren't tied to the hotel in the evening, with very good restaurants just outside if you wanted. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone and we'll certainly consider going back.
Excellent - Best Hotel on the Island
from Michelle_74
We stayed at the Four Seasons the first two weeks in September and we had a fantastic time.
We have stayed in a lot of 5* hotels and this was definitely the best.
The food in the hotel itself is really excellent and there is huge selection for breakfast. The Service is the best we have seen to-date in any hotel and the room was extremely comfortable. The pool facilities were also excellent and there is a direct path from the hotel onto a lovely small stretch of beach.
Nothing seemed too much trouble for any of the staff in this hotel and they went out of their way to accommodate our requests.
One tip I would give is that if you are visiting the Four Seasons book a Sea View room, as the Inland View can be very noisy as it overlooks a busy stretch of road.
Food wise, we really enjoyed the hotel food and found it much better quality that a lot of restaurants outside. One tip we were given was to stay away from the main tourist area to eat; this was good advice as we ate there on a few occasions and the quality was not great.
There was an excellent Italian restaurant just outside the hotel called El Saprore, the food here was superb and very reasonably priced. Also, there are some really nice restaurants down at the old port around the Castle, these were also reasonable priced and food was excellent.
Overall a very enjoyable stay in the Four Seasons and if travelling back to Cyprus would definitely stay here.

Fantastic Four Seasons

I have just returned from a week's stay with my husband at the recently refurbished Four Season's hotel in Limassol. The standard of service, quality and variety of food, facilities and furnishings are fabulous. If you are after a relaxing break then look no further. Just a couple of pointers to watch out for:- If you are going half board then this entitles you to the buffet option in the Cafe tropical or the table d'hote in the Palace Restaurant. A la carte in either, or meals in the excellent Seasons Oriental or Seashells restaurant are extra. Having said that you can choose to use your half board option for lunch if you want to splash out on dinner. Book early for the Seasons Oriental restaurant, which is very popular. The adult pool (for over 18s only) is a useful bolt hole if the kids get a bit noisy in the main pool area. I would echo other people's comments about getting water from the local shops, of which there are several. We found the locals to be charming, friendly and all spoke excellent english. I wouldn't hesitate to go back - it's a great hotel, just 30 mins taxi ride from Larnaca airpot.
