Very nice hotel facing the sea. Most excellent food and good entertainment that is not brought into your face during evening meal.

The only minus was there was no free wireless Internet access. One had to buy an access code to go online and there was only access in the louge, not in the room or near the pool.

The room was great, all the hotel was clean, service was brilliant.
The standard of food was very high. All meals were Buffet, Breakfast was standard selection between Ham/cheeses etc thro to eggs, bacon and various cereals. The evening meals were superb.. including the salad bar, there was 3 or 4 main meals available every evening, plus soup and a good selection of desserts.
The cleanliness generally was very good.
The staff were very friendly and certainly the bar-staff were a great laugh.
In a lovely location, near the beach and with a good choice of Bars and shops nearby.
Very enjoyable and nice Holiday.

Stayed at the Arsinoe Hotel for the fourth time. Returning this year. Can't complain. Rooms adequate. Food great. Staff very friendly. Don't usually check out the entertainment as we like to go out at night for a walk. Pools ok. Problems are sorted without any bother. Looking forward to June.

Got back from another amazing holiday at the arsinoe last month. It was me and my families 4th trip to the arsinoe and didn't let us down. It is a beautiful hotel with an amazing loving atmosphere, the rooms we had were in the newer part of the hotel which are clean simple and fore fill every need you would want during your stay. Being only 16 and my brother being 12 we need amusing because we get bored easily and at the arsinoe that was never the case my brother joined in on games of killer pool and darts, etc run by the hotel while I sunbathed with my mum and dad in the very attractive pool area at the back of the hotel which offers plenty of sun beds and umbrellas which can be used free of charge! We ate breakfast in the hotel which catered for everyone cereal, toast, and warm food as well which varied. Lunch is also served by the hotel which was usually a buffet but you could also choose from their lunchtime menu offering sandwiches chips and salads amongst other things. The evening meal was also a buffet it wasn't always amazing but you could always find something to suit you.
In the evening the hotel usually had some entertainment going eg karaoke but if not the bar staff found some way of entertaining you must mention them George Yiannis, Andreas, Toni, Lambross and Harris lots of love to you all! Over all it was an amazing holiday and we are sure to return next year xx

Hotel had a night club so was worried about noise, however our room was well away from it so it was very quiet. However, can be noisy if you are right over it.

Our room was huge with a King size bed and space for another though not all rooms were this big. The furniture was a bit tatty and the bathroom very small but immaculate. The air-conditioning in the room had to be on full to feel any benefit and was very noisy. Even when left on for hours on end it never got cooler than 23 degrees centigrade. All rooms have free satellite TV with a few English speaking channels including BBC World. Full size fridges are available for hire for 5 Cypriot pounds per week and there is a super market right next door to the hotel should you need it.

The hotel has 2 completely separate pool areas. Pool 1 was a little run down albeit clean, but it was very quiet here with plenty of shade. You could stroll down here at 11am and still get a (free)sun bed whereas at pool 2 (and obviously newer pool) unless you were prepared to get up at 6.30 and bag your bed, forget it!!! Pool 2 also had very little shade.

Lunchtime snacks were available at pool 2 which meant a trek through the vast lobby if you were at pool 1. Although the hotel had air-conditioning throughout all public areas, it was not used enough and the heat was oppressive, particularly in the evening.

Breakfast was served in the non-smoking ‘cafeteria' and usually the air-conditioning was turned on here. It was clean and the food choice was good and included full English. However the tables had no cloths or cutlery – you had to get that for yourself. Also all tables had ‘bins' for putting your rubbish in which is OK providing no one else has used it already! Alternatively you could eat breakfast outside by pool 2 (you even got table cloths here!) but as this was the smoking area, we tended to stay indoors. Be prepared to feed the cats that come begging if you eat outdoors!

In Cyprus, it seems to be the norm to have separate dining rooms for breakfast and dinner and this hotel is no different. During our stay the main dining room was being renovated so dinner was served outside by pool 2. The pool was lit up and the water fountain and waterfalls switched on so it was very picturesque, however they did not segregate the smokers from the non-smokers and this spoilt many a meal for us. That said food choice was quite good. I am a very fussy eater but I always managed to find something to eat!

Hotel had an ‘Internet' room however the computers were out of order more than they were working. Evening entertainment was very poor and at best 3 times a week. Three times a week you had live music over dinner while you ate which is fine for the hour you are there but!.....the singer would then move to the (indoor) bar at 9.30pm and sing until around 11.30pm. We spend 50 weeks of the year indoors in the UK, and I for one, like to sit outdoors when I go abroad and not be cooped up in some smoky indoor bar!!

Beach is right opposite hotel though it is a bit stoney. A few shops and bars just yards away. Bus stop also right outside hotel which will take you into Limossal old town. Good water park 20 mins bus ride away.

On the whole this is not a bad hotel and the staff are very friendly.

Very Disappointing

well what can i say we arrived back this morning from our 2 week honeymoon at the arsinoe beach hotel, and i can tell you all we wont be going back.

The hotel itself was good, clean rooms and very friendly bar staff but for the rest of the experience, it spoilt what should have been our most memorable of holidays.

The food was what made our honeymoon hell, poor it not the word for it, i would think pigs would even turn up there noses at it, i will give you an example, it was last saturday night and we arrived for our evening meal at 8pm, this is mid service as the evening meal is done between 7pm and 9pm, we sat down and the wine waiter took our drinks order then we got up to get our soup, we were eating with another couple who we had met in the hotel. We sat down to start our soup to find it was stone cold, we though maybe the soup turine was not working so we went and got more soup out of another turine to find this to was stone cold, we called the waiter over who said he would go and reheat it, to which we refused it was only mid service and this food should still have been piping hot. So we all decided to go and get the main course, when we got there there was only 1 portion of beef stew left, so it left myself my wife and our friend stood waiting for more to arrive, we could not even get any sald to be going on with as it had all gone, when they finally brought out the stew, to my shock and horror it was not even cooked, the meat was still in clearly visable squares to how it had been cut and it still had large amounts of fat on the meat, and as we all know in a stew this melts away, i then complained again by this time one of our frinds decided to leave to which we all followed. We ended up going to eat at rebbeccas which i have to say was one of the nices meal we had and very cheap to.

The next day we went to see if we could get a refund on the meal we had at rebbeccas only to be told that nobody else complained about the food and it was just us, well i did not have an answer to that, alls i can say if you are going to cyprus stay clear of this hotel unless u do bed and breakfast like i said the hotel itself was very nice the food really really let it down. We did here they have sacked there long standing chef, im sure this could have something to do with it. For great food visit China town in the tourist area of limasol george who owns the place and spent alot of money on the place and four about £30cyp you can have a nice 4 course meal with drinks. Go out at about *.30pm for a great night out.

Fantastic

We have just returned from the Arsinoe Beach Hotel after a 12 day stay.

We had a great time there, the hotel was very good, I found it to have great friendly service, be clean and in a good position.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and always willing to please, and there was entertainment in the bar every evening.

There are two pools, one near the bar towards the front of the hotel, which is better if you want a quieter time, and the main pool at the rear of the hotel, next to the childrens pool. There are also games and tournaments to play around the pool each day.

The hotel does have a spa available, which offers lots of different treatments. They have a special offer on Sunday's for a full body massage, however this was the only disappointing thing about the hoilday, the full body massage only lasted 10 minutes and consisted of a rub down on our legs, backs and arms, I would not use the spa again.

The breakfast provided is a buffet, and although it may be the same on some days, was always very nice. The evening meals are also buffet, very nice and always plentiful.

The hotel is not near the main shopping centre of Limassol, it is at the quieter end, but you are still within easy distance of the main shopping cente, it is about a 30 minute walk or straight across the road, there is a bus stop which takes you straight there and takes about 5 or 10 minutes.

The beach is straight across the main road, it has dark sand and you can easily hire sunbeds for a very cheap rate.

You can go on local trips, which are easily booked a few yards from the hotel. I would recommend the trip to the mountains and if you can afford it the trips to Egypt.

In easy reach of the hotel, there are also lots of bars and restaurants where you can find localdishes but english food is easily available. Most of the restaurants have set menus at a very cheap price.

We had a really good time, and would not hesitate to go back to the hotel.

I went to the Arsinoe beach hotel 2 years ago in august. I have to completely disagree with some of the reviews on here. From what I can remember there were no problems what so ever. We were not above the night club so everything was great.
There are great pools! I found the food was great different selection every day. The entertainment got a bit repetative but hey there are plenty of other places to go out in the evening.
My fave aspect of the hotel was the staff, they are so lovely! I remember their names well...lambross, tasoss, george. ..well not all of the names lol. But anyway they were all great, made us feel very welcome.

We went on a day boat trip where you could snorkel which was great. The jeep safari was ace (apart from the sleazy driver). The local water park is ok, not that much to do but what they do have i found very fun.
Sorry to have such a lacking memory but I honestly remember it being excellent!!!!

A little disappointed

from alltrue
My wife and I holidayed at the arsinoe in June of this year the hotel was fine and the food was quite adequate, a plus for the hotel was that carpets were fitted in corridors and in the rooms so you did away with the problem of foot noise at night. but there was a slight problem with the Disco depending where in the hotel you were, and also with the dual carriage way that is right outside the front entrance plus the traffic lights, complete with speed camera so you can appreciate the problem, the beaches are all man made with dark sand and not very inviting, and while we were there a dredger lay at anchor most of the time right out front inside the break waters. and yes it is at least 6 miles into the old town so catch a bus 80 cent a throw, the area had some good and cheap cafe's well worth a visit to Rebeccah's50 yards from the hotel hope this review is of use to new visitors to Limassol and the Arsinoie.

Have recently returned from the Arsinoe Beach Hotel and would not reccommend this hotel to any middle class guests looking to holiday there. We were mostly dissapointed with the Hotel and strongly disagree with the other reviews we had read previously. The standard of accommodation was sufficient but the food was something else, very repeatative and boring. The location is okay if your after a quiet holiday but if your after a bit of night life close by this is not for you as the centre of limassol is about an hour and 30 mins walk away. We feel that this hotel is overpriced and would definately not return there in the future. x

Lovely Staff

from J44JPA
Very friendly hotel staff. Restaurant food very good, always good choice of everything. Breakfasts were a bit boring with similar choices every day, but always found something to eat. Room was a bit dated, could have done with a lick of paint, but everything worked okay. Cleaning ladies did a very good job each day, except sundays, they had a day off. Towels could do to be replaced for newer ones. If you want beach towels, get them from the gym room and pay a deposit of £5, which is refundable upon return of the towel. You can get clean ones each day. Wouldn't hesitate at recommending this hotel to the more mature person. Not a lot for the teenagers to do.

Excellant Holiday

from jolyn47
The hotel was excellant with friendly staff all day everyday.

The choice of food was excellant catering for all tastes.

The rooms were well maintained and kept very clean.

Entertainment put on every evening and importantly no extra charge.

Wine list extensive and certainly not overpriced.

A well recommended hotel to stay at, of which we will most certainly do again.

Holiday in Limassol

We have just returned from the Arsinoe Beach in Limassol and had a fantastic time. We were a little worried after reading previous reviews as some were good and some not so good. We found the rooms clean and comfortable. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel most welcome. In fact, all the people we met in Cyprus were the same. We felt safe in Cyprus and were happy to leave our children in the hotel when we went out for the day. They are 17, 14 and 11 and they really enjoyed the hotel swimming pool, tennis, table tennis and pool table. The beach and beach walk opposite the hotel is lovely - the sand gets very hot! The row of shops up from the hotel are OK with some good little cafes/restaurants for affordable good food.

The entertainment in the hotel was good especially the live music with Nicholas and his guitar - he is quite a character. The food was OK - plenty of it - sometimes a bit repetitive but no-one became ill from it and our children managed to find something to eat each day without a fuss.

We had a lovely time - great weather - and it is worth hiring a car to see the mountains and other sights in Cyprus.

Have fun!
