Sun Hall Hotel, Larnaca. 23 – 28 December 2007
1. Worst Hotel Experience in 20 years of frequent travel!!!!
2. The inland view consisted of a concrete wall approximately 15 metres away from our balcony.
3. Swimming pool out of use due to workmen repairing adjoining roof – no notice of this, no cost reduction.
4. Shabby hotel – in public rooms and guest rooms. Standard of cleaning very poor.
5. The price was increased 3 times:
- price increased after our Half Board booking was confirmed.
- The week before Xmas we were presented with an obligatory £55 extra for Xmas Eve dinner on top of Half Board cost already paid
- Price increased to move from an Inland view (a view of a concrete wall) to side sea view
- The final cost for Half Board was over 60% more than our original booking.
6. We paid for the same food 4 times over as the extra cost obligatory Xmas Eve Dinner leftovers were served up for the next 3 nights.
7. Food boring, poorly presented and always the same.
8. Hotel guests were squeezed out of the dining room which was used for wedding and engagement parties. We had to eat in the cafeteria open to general public.
9. Management were rude with couldn't care less, take it or leave it attitude.
10. Staff showed no warmth or recognition even after 5 nights stay.
11. I would never recommend it to anybody.

Avoid at all costs. Apart from the really friendly waitress at the pool bar, this place is a dump - it's never been a 4* and the apartments would be better suited in a prison. Seriously DO NOT go to the Sun Hall Aparthotel.

My mother and I booked last minute to our favourite resort in Cyprus this summer , we booked the Sun Hall hotel and after reading many bad reviews we were slightly worried, but I can assure you that the Sun Hall hotel is not bad at all!!!! We were pleasantly suprised at the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff especially the greeter in the main reception! The hotel rooms where a good size and cleaned daily. We stayed on a half board basis for the week and the food wos really nice. It is usually a buffet style but because there weren't many guests on half board we had waiter service most nights.

The pool was an average size and there were plenty of sun beds to go around, but to be honest the hotel was really quiet considering their were many guests both in the hotel and the hotel's apartments, it was very quiet and there was nothing too do in the evenings, especially for the children. But the location of the hotel is brilliant it's literally a minute's walk across the road to the beautiful sandy beach and is right in the centre of the main restaurants and bars in the town. The promenade is beautiful at night although there are a few building developments going on at the moment.

We had a fantastic holiday and will hopefully be returning to the Sun Hall hotel again!!!

roads and driving In Cyprus they drive on the left as in UK so very easy to drive and roads are very good. Car hire is an excellent way to get about, also getting into an air conditioned car after the baking heat is heavenly.
