I thought the hotel we stayed in was really good for the money we got a really good deal ... it's definitely for the younger people! I went with 5 other friends and we had such a good laugh.. The main night life is right by the hotel and the beaches were a 5 10 min walk.. Can't get any better than that!! And happy hour at the bar of the hotel was the best !! And the staff were lovely !! The food was good and the atmosphere was great. I think we would all definitely go back again!!!!!

just came back from New Famagusta - 9 of us went. It was brill and would recommend it to any one. I am a very fussy lady so am told rooms are basic. Every thing at hand, shops, beach, night life, all of us want to go back and it would be New Famagusta for us.

I stayed at this hotel in June 2008 for a week with the girls and we loved every minute of it! The rooms are very clean and basic which was exactly what we wanted, and the maids come everyday, cleaned, made our beds and even tidied our clothes! When we arrived the staff were very friendly and we were shocked to see such a lovely hotel as we wernt expecting much as it was cheap! If we needed anything at all, anytime of the day or night there was a phone in every room, where we could press 0 and a maintenance man would be to our room wihin 5 minutes! The pool was very clean and there were enough sunbeds for us all to lay on! We didn't eat at the hotel everyday, purely because we didn't eat much at all!, When we did eat, there it was reasonably priced, 7euro for burger+chips+drink, and it was a nice eating area and food was very good! The bar staff were also very welcoming and friendly :-D ... had happy hour everyday on cocktails and long drinks! and also had karoke and a bbq on some nites! The hotel is very close to the clubs so no need to get cabs, we went to the square every nite of the week we stayed and it was amazing!!! There is soo much to do but the hotel was lovely and we all fully recommend it...not only was there people our age (18) there were older couples, families with children and groups of adults so is ideal for everyone! but especially people who want to go clubbing as its soo close to everything! It is also close to the beach, (10 minutes walk max) or to go to Nissi beach it costs 7euros in a taxi which is def worth going to! We also made lots of friends with other groups of people who were staying in the hotel and who were on our flight! It felt very safe and secure which is nice when you're just a group of 5 18 year old girls! The New Famagusta Hotel made our stay in Ayia Napa the best ever. We're already planning on booking to go back next year for 2 weeks instead of one! Honestly... its soo cheap, but really clean, the people are the friendliest!

Rooms clean and basic. 1 bed app very spacious. Second time to this hotel came in 2005 and this time seemed better, location excellent. Pool very clean. Some noise early hours but not a problem. Bar girls superb. Will visit again.

I went to the new Famagusta hotel in a group of 4 girls. Well what can I say... amazing! The waitress was great and very friendly, food was nice and the fresh orange juice was great for the many hangovers. Got back to the hotel at about 5am one morning and they were more than happy to make us some food. We were allocation on arrival and were quite worried about where we were going to be put but shouldn't have been, we got one of the new apartments in the white block, nice and clean with everything you need. If you want your towels to be changed hang them back up otherwise the maids won't touch them. Was fine after we realised this though. I would not recommend staying in one of the older blocks though. Definitely take a trip to Nissi beach when your there but get their early, great selection of waterspouts to choose from and the Napa bungee jump is amazing!! The rep was friendly and showed us all the places to go, definitely have to try the foam party at ice! Great fun! And the castle club was good too.. Actually, everywhere was great! The only complaint was the lack of music by the pool, but managed to sort this out by taking a CD player with us to the pool and every1 was more than happy to let us be the DJ's during the day! Will definitely be going back!!

Had a great time in this hotel. It was a late booking and after reading reports we were a bit concerned..no need!! We had a ground floor room 310, second block, we did look straight on to another room off the terrace but it wasn't a problem as the curtains were shut to keep the sun out, it could do with a bit of paint but was clean and the bathroom was great inc the shower! We went s/c but ate breakfast in the hotel we had full english, cyp £2.80. It was brill inc coffee + juice + toast and it was HOT! Didnt use the pool but it looked ok. Went to the beach, not too good near the harbour but if you walk 300yds up the beach you come to crystal water and great sand and not so crowded..worth the walk. The night life was good the restaurants great.. mexican, figi polynesian, chinese, not one bad meal.We didnt experience any problems or noise. The girl serving the food in the bar area was very friendly, the reception staff didnt say much but i think that was a language barrier. I would definately use this Hotel again.

The only bad word I have to say is that the receptionists were not friendly, and had they been a little more cheerful it would have made our holiday that much nicer. The rooms were basic but served its purpose. The pool was great with plenty of loungers and parasols for shade. The bar staff were great, the drinks and snacks were reasonably priced although the breakfasts were not that fantastic. Probably go bed only if we returned again. The location was the best thing about our holiday. There are supermarkets and restaurants just outside the hotel. The centre of town was just 5 mins walk, as was the beach. We felt it was just far enough out of town to relax. General age group was 18 to 70! Fantastic mix!! The locals make you feel very welcome. All restaurants did lovely food apart from the odd one. Didn't see any crime at all which was great. Will probably be going again next year. P.s to the review earlier on the page..... For future reference if you hang your wet towels back on the rails then the maid will not change the towels. You need to put them on the floor... that's a general rule of thumb in allot of countries.

Just spent a week at this so called hotel (lol) the first three days were great quite and calm then all hell broke loose on the Sunday gangs of youths and girls playing loud music and drinking breaking bottles till 3.30 am then they wake at 7.30 play music again till they want to sleep .
Food was crap cold English fry every morning no matter if you went at 8.30 or 10.00 and the food and drink at the bar is twice as expensive as on town will never revisit or recommend this place to any one over 20 yrs old.
There are no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms I was in room 218 with one towel change in a week (and then the maid tried to give us dirty ones)

when we arrived at the new famagusta after an 1 hours drive from the airport, I was not at all pleased with the first impressions as we went allocation on arrival we didn't know where we were going to be staying, when we walked into the reception it looked really dark and dinghy and with it being 5am it didn't help we were just given our room keys and told it was down the bottom it was room 215, we walked past the pool and there were youngsters sitting there still drinking, we walked on and there were lots of people on there balcony's drinking there were vodka bottles and red bull cans lying around on the floor and people were being really loud after lugging our cases up to the room we realised the door handle wasn't working properly, then when we went into the bathroom it was disgusting the shower curtain had brown stains all over it, the shower head was broken there was a big hole in the side of the bath, where the tiles had fallen off, we went into the bedroom and that was just as bad the curtains were brown which made the room look horrible and dull, the sheets on the bed felt like I was lying on a thick curtain the fridge handle had broken it was all haggard and sharp, the pillows were disgusting and brown as if they had been stained with tea bags, there was a little table and chairs in the corner for on the patio, this was stained with something that didn't look to nice. The balcony door was easy to get into from outside I locked it from the inside and my boyfriend lifted it up from the outside and it opened easily so we did not feel safe. we were given a phone number to ring if we had any problems so we didn't sleep and waited until 9am when they opened we were told the rep would be at the hotel at about 1pm, when he arrived I showed him the paperwork I had been given when I booked the holiday it said we were guaranteed 3* bed and breakfast, this hotel said that it was a 2* on every door, but this didn't seem to matter to the rep, he offered us another room but we said that we wanted to be moved hotel, he said that he would ring to see if there were any spaces available anywhere and there was one hotel but we would have to pay £400 to be moved as it was peak season we said we couldn't afford it and he showed us another room at the hotel, I was shocked at the difference this looked clean bright and more modern we had a great view of the sling shot from our balcony and were a lot happier, if only we had been put in room 141 from the beginning it would have made a huge difference to the start of our holiday, the location of the hotel was perfect you were 5 minutes walk from the square and 5 minutes to the beach, I would recommend people to get a taxi to Landa beach if they want to relax the sands are white and the sea is a turquoise blue it is amazing as for the new famagusta we enjoyed our stay in the end but will not be going allocation on arrival again we would rather pay the extra money

I have just arrived back from the new Famagusta today, 4 of us spent 2 weeks there and I could find no fault with it at all! The rooms are spacious, light and modern, the pool is an adequate size and has plenty of sun loungers, the staff are really friendly and speak excellent English. The bar is reasonably priced and stays open very late - not sure if it even closed!! We went with Thomas cook and the rep there was excellent - as were all the reps in the area. The hotel was about 5 to 10 min walk max from the square.
I would really recommend this hotel and plan to go again next year!!!
