We stayed at the Marina Hotel in Ayia Napa towards the end of October 2007. The rooms were clean and adequate, with the cleaners coming in every day. Although the facilities were basic, they were more than adequate. The Hotel itself, has ample facilities, and is very family orientated. It overlooks Ayia Napa bay and is about 400m from the beach. It is about 1Km from the town centre and convenient for local bus services. We found all the staff was warm and friendly, and if we had any requests, they were always willing to try to help us. Breakfast was a Continental Buffet style, but there was always plenty of choice available. The evening meal was again buffet style, with a mixture of local and continental dishes available. We always found something available that suited us, but were aware that you could change to packed lunches if you couldn’t find anything to your taste. During the last 3 days of our holiday, there were only 8 guests staying at the hotel, however, Athos, the owner, refused to have anyone moved so that he could shut the hotel down. In fact, during the last 9 hours, we were his only guests, and he allowed us to use whatever facilities we wanted. All in all, the hotel is perfect for young and old alike, with quite a few guests that return every year. If I should ever find myself back in Ayia Napa, then I cannot see any reason to NOT stay at the Marina again.

The location is excellent, staff very friendly and great service to all guests. Price was value for money.

Great staff, service and location

My wife and I have been staying at this hotel for 6 years, we always go back and generally always have the same room. The staff and service is fantastic. The rooms are quite basic but have everything you need (including a fridge) if you want and are clean. Ayia Nappa is a great place and not like shown on the TV. The main square can get very busy after 12am but the many surrounding bars are not always as busy. There's something for everyone. I first went to Ayia Nappa and stayed in this hotel with 11 lads and we had a great time too. When I met my wife we went back every year. The hotel is about 1 km from the real busy night life, a nice walk or a short taxi ride with plenty of bars and resturants on the way. There's a nice beach about 5 mins walk away and a small shop for snacks and drinks out the back of the hotel. Can't fault the place. We book independantly and always phone the hotel to get our room. They speak excellent english and are always helpful and pleased to see us. Can't wait to go back with our 1st child which is now due.

This is the third year we have stayed at the Marina, and it`s always great to see familiar faces of the staff who are kind and helpful and most entertaining, maid service exellent, very clean hotel.

Our Stay at the Marina Hotel

Me and my aunt are not long back from cyprus , we stayed at the marina hotel for 2 weeks in ayia napa and we were very dissapointed in the cleanliness of the rooms as carpets had not been vacumed , bed sheets had not been changed, bathroom towels had only been changed over the day before our leave and food at dinner was hard and discusting. In the second week we actually arraged with our hotel rep to swap hotel dinners for bar lunches which is the usual british food (Burgers , Hot Dogs , Pizzas etc) which we found much better. Staff are quite distant towards the public and not very welcoming, also most of the time the hotel rep is not in on her times required. If we were to return to ayia napa we would actually recommend the Mermaid which is 2 minutes down the road from the Marina Hotel which has great services and pleasent staff.

I believe this hotel is a great deal taking into account the food offered and how clean it is. The staff is very friendly and you only realise how important this is when you actually go there! Marina Hotel offers you a holiday of real relaxation, as it offers some events on the veranda and also a lovely and peaceful pool. I definitely recommend it.
