We had a fantastic time at The Dome, as we had been before to The Dome we thought it may have changed by going 'All Inclusive' but it hadn't it was a complete relaxing holiday. We are looking forward to returning next year with our granchildren to try out the new pool.
Food was excellent. £3 or £4 pound taxi into Ayia Napa. Brilliant Holiday.

Still as good as ever ! !

from louandray
Stayed at the Dome 15yrs ago, high standards then and still are today. Excellent hotel for families with children, my two daughters who are 10 & 8 always found plenty to do. Superb entertainment team and friendly staff. Everywhere was always very clean, there are two great pools and a stretch of private beach. Go on a crash diet before you go to this hotel ( we were all inc ) as there is so much choice, something there for all tastes !!! Guarantee you will enjoy your stay here ( wish we were still there)

Fantastic holiday

from chlochlo
My daughter (12) and I stayed at the Dome Beach in half term holiday Oct 06. Staff Accommodation food pools all excellent. The hotel faces out to a orangy sandy beach which wasn't brilliant, but if you took a walk over the small hill (a 3 min walk) the beach was superb. White sand crystal clear sea - no rocks. The nearest shops are about a 5 minute walk. We got the bus to ayia napa one day the bus stop is just at the top of the road. You could walk along the coastal route to Nissi Bay, which was a bit livier with bars on the beach.
The hotel has two pools, they were never crowded, and very easy to get sun beds. Food is great with Breakfast, lunch and dinner which could be eaten in or out. Snacks are available in the afternoons, and you can get free drinks up to midnight.
The evening entertainment was fine, and was undercover outside. You could either go to the bar for drinks or could have waitress service.
The weather was fantastic and we came back with lovely tans. Didn't want to come home, and will go back again this year.

First Class Hotel and Holiday

from snoadfarm
We have just returned from The Dome, at Cyprus. First class Holiday. Very clean, excellant service, very polite.
After reading some of the other comments about there not being Ice Creams available all day for the kids, my 8 year old son, was quite content to wait until the appropriate times for his ice cream. 2 Pools available, and 2 beaches, what more do you need.
Glad that I had read the reviews on this site before I went and was not put off by the one that moaned...
Would definately go again.

Wonderful Holiday

from Vic1011
Have just arrived home from a wonderful 2 weeks stay at the Dome Beach Hotel. The facilities at this hotel are very high, lots to do for all ages. I travelled with my husband and 11 year old daughter. The rooms were very spacious and clean with a daily maid service. There are two beautiful swimming pools. One very handy tip, as you enter your room there is a place to put your room card, when you remove the card the electricity (including air conditioning) switches off, so we used a Boots Advantage card when we weren't in our room, so our room was cool all the time. The food was good, a very varied menu every night, the only night that was repeated was a Saturday when they did a Bar-be-que. Men are requested to wear trousers in the evening in the restaurant, although we did find that not everyone did. I would recommend this hotel and we would stay there again!!!

perfect family holiday

from bobdory
This hotel is so perfect for families.

Lots of activites to do for those who like to be active but yet is still offers peace and quiet if thats what you want.

The entertainment team are fantastic and work so hard.

Kids club offered drop in times so kids could choose as and when they went, really nice cool room to get them out of the heat for a while. Brazillian soccer school was good and stage school was 2 day course that ended with the kids doing a show.

Bit more expensive than your usual holiday but worth every penny.

This was a perfect holiday. we will return

t opt for all inclusive!

We have just returned from a week at The Dome Beach and overall we were a bit dissapointed in our experience. The hotel itself was very clean and daily maid service was very good, the food had a wide varied choice and the pool areas were very welcoming. The english rep entertainment team was very good but with many nationalities the evenings were long as one nt the awards were handed out from the daily sports competitions and steph (the thomas cook english rep) said her part which was then translated in german and then french. The kids club was a disapointment as although it was not the kids reps fault their were not many kids in the hotel therefore no activities were organisedand they were left to play games machines. Also at times where one rep was not at work (leaving only 1 rep ) you had to keep taking your child until there was more than 1 child in the club when you could then leave yours (in connection with british child laws). I don't think the drop in kids centre was very good and a fixed time would of been better when they would of been fully staffed. The all inclusive drinks were not great as there was a seperate drinks menu for this from the bar menu. I know that you could not have international branded drinks but bottled water is a must when on holiday and there were no pint glasses only small plastic beakers (not what you expect from a 4 star hotel). The kids were the only ones who got ice-creams (and they were very strict on this) for 2 1 hour slots a day and having waited at the bar for a good 5 minutes one day and therefore being served 1 minute over the ice cream hour i then had to explain to my 17 month old why the barman would not give her a ice-cream. I think if you went on bed and breakfast or half board and paid for the extras the holiday would of been to a higher standard but going on all inclusive we felt we were treated as second class citizens. Having visited another all inclusive for our honeymoon 6 years ago in Paphos only being a 3 star we were overall disapointed and feel the hotel did not live up to our expectations although cyprus did.

The best holiday ever had!!!

from A TripAdvisor Member
I returned on Thursday from my stay in the Dome beach. It was the best time I have had ever on holiday. I didnt want to leave. Both me and my partner went here and this was our first holiday together. We couldnt have picked a better place. Before my holiday I had been using Trip Advisor to see what people had put about it and it doesnt do it justice. You have to go to believe how good it is. The rooms were extremely clean, everyday maids came into the room.

During our stay at the hotel it was my birthday and as a lovely surprise i received a bottle and sparkling wine and a basket of fruit from the Hotel which was a lovely touch and really made my birthday special.

I would recommend this more for families with small children as there wasnt many young couples there. I am 23 and my boyfriend 27 and we both enjoy partying so when we go back I would stay closer to Nissi Beach as the hotel is a fair way out of main Ayia Napa.

The AI was brilliant. There wasnt one night when we had a same theme night for the food. You will come back heavier than you went if you like food!!! All the staff were extremely helpful and the entertainment at night was brilliant. Matt, Abbe, Steph and Teri got everyone involved in some way. They have alot of energy!!

You have a got to go here to experience the magic that Cyprus has to offer. I would go back tomorrow if I could

Have just returned from 1 week at the Dome travelling with Thomas Cook and would highly reccomend it to anyone. I travelled with my partner and 5 year old daughter and there was something for everyone. The food was great always a good selection to suit all tastes and plenty of choice of drinks included in the All Inclusive package. The entertainment was brill and if you dont fancy it there are plenty of quiet areas inside in the evening and in the gardens or on one of the 2 beacheswhere watersports are available during the day. There are 2 pools of which 1 is a new fun pool with slides where you can use your inflatables and the other is a huge pool used for swimming only. The kids club is great open 10-12 and 2-6 fully air conditioned purpose built where you can leave 5-12yr olds for as long or short as you like and there is a mini disco most nights at 8pm. Towels are provided for use at pool and beach which is very handy and all rooms have free air conditioning.
Although you can see the waterpark from the hotel it is quite a way to walk especially in the heat and so is the main road where the local buses go from. We used taxis and they charge a flat rate of £4 anywhere in the Ayia Napa area.
I would highly reccomend it to anyone that is looking for a hotel based holiday as it has everything you require within the grounds of the hotel.

d go back tomorrow!!

If you are considering booking a holiday to stay at The Dome Beach Hotel then don't hesitate!!!

I have just returned from a 2 week stay at The Dome Beach and would literally return tomorrow!! Me and my Mum traveled together and couldn't have had a better holiday! We stayed All Inclusive and I wouldn't go with another option! The food at the Hotel was gorgeous - loads of choice for breakfast, lunch, evening meal and even afternoon hot snacks and cake & coffee!!! The waiters are fantastic and very helpful.

Before we went on the holiday I was a bit worried that the drinks available on the AI package were going to be very limited, this was the first time I have ever gone All Inclusive!!, I can assure you that as soon as we got there I had nothing to worry about - yes there is a separate drinks menu for AI customers but there is everything from Cocktails, Spirits (local stuff that gets you drunk quicker!!), Beer, Soft Drinks, Non-Alcoholic Cocktails etc etc for you to choose from - or work your way through if you prefer!!

Our room was overlooking the Hotel Entrance, The Pool and the Beach (you can see photo's I have attached!!) Our maid, Christella, came everyday with fresh towels and a good general tidy round!! Bedding was also changed regularly too! The only thing I will advise is that you keep a few spare towels on your balcony drying out as you need to use your room towels for round the Pool or on the Beach - unless you take your own! To be honest there was nothing wrong with this as we kept them separate and got them changed regularly!!

The entertainment at the Hotel was fantastic - loads of different activities during the day and the staff are not pushy making you do things if you are wanting a relaxing holiday!! At night the Thomas Cook group were fab, I made friends with them all so I'll say a quick 'Hi' to Matt, Steph, Abbe and Theresa!!! They made our holiday and are all fab!! Every night there is a different show or entertainment group - all shows were fabulous and professional. Great for Adults and even some Kids that stay up later!! Before the evening entertainment there is a Kid's disco on at 8pm everyday - those of you who don't want to watch I would advise to go and have your evening meal at this time as the food is always being replenished plus you can't hear the outside music in the restaurant!!

There are 2 pools at the Hotel, the one we stayed at which is featured in the brochures is much bigger than I expected, nice and peaceful with some back ground music to chill you out!! There is a second pool around the other side of the Hotel - great for kids as there are slides and the pool depth doesn't change - there are 2 jacuzzi's at this pool too!! There are also 2 beaches, a man made beach with watersports which is lovely and then Macronnisos Beach which you get to from the second pool (with the slides!) This beach is gorgeous, golden sand and turquoise sea - I only wish we found it earlier than the day before we came home!!!!

The Hotel is set back from the main road but only a 5 minute stroll to the Supermarket, 10 minute walk to the Water Park and a good 50 minute walk into Ayia Napa - the buses run every 20 minutes (bus stop at end of road leading to Hotel!) and cost 80p regardless if you go to Ayia Napa or Protaras (lovely for shopping and to see the beach!!) I would only recommend you spend £4 on a taxi to Ayia Napa at night time as the bus ride is literally 5 minutes!!

I really would return to this Hotel tomorrow so am more than confident I can recommend this holiday to anyone - family's, young couples, older couples, groups etc etc!!

I hope you have as good a time as we did!

Excellent hotel and good value for money

from Grecophile1
We stayed at the Dome Hotel in Nissi Bay for our first family holiday with our 11 month old daughter. It was the beginning of the season but this was not a problem. The only down side to the hotel was its distance from the main resort but as long as you know this before that fine. The hotel was extremely clean and the maids were there daily and even left me fresh flowers every day! I am veggie so was a bit concerned with the Fully Inclusive package but once I was introduced to my waiter, the restaurant manager and even the chef I was given personal service. Bottled water is not included in the FI package and we heard a few grumbles about that but every else was to class.
The entertainment during the day was fun and there is you wanted it...everything from volleyball ,darts, pool, shuffleboard. The list was endless. The nighttime entertainment was great fun with a session for the young kids and then something for the adults later. It was very professional and the TMC team led by Matt made it loads of fun. The Thomas Cook reps were always keen to chat and we were made to feel very welcome.
Overall, Great food, Good drink, clean hotel, good staff and would recommend to anyone to go to this hotel. If the hotel sorted the bottled water out I dont think we would have heard any complaints. Loved it

Top Local Tips for Ayia Napa

Childrens Pool Young children need to wear jelly beans as the area around the pool can get quite slippy!

"Waterworld" Don't go home without a visit to this local waterpark. Its a great fun day out .

Renting a car from the rep The lease of a car was cheaper from the Olympic rep than it was in town (and delivered and picked up from hotel). 4 days came in at 95 euros.
