Sliko is a hidden bargain

The Croats are just learning the meaning of service, but my 7 day stay at the Slisko was pleasant. I learned that cash talks and that credit gets a 3% surcharge but this hotel is located within walking distance of the trams and buses, there is a bakery nearbyand a small store across the street. The wait staff all spoke English and and the outdoor cafe was great. The one bad point was no elevator. The staff was helpful getting baggage to and from our room. Very poor parking, but you don't need a car in Zagreb. I would stay again. We booked our room through a travel agent specializing in Croatia travel.
