I have been in Zadar (Croatia) many times for business, but this time I went there with my wife for a fun & pleasure trip. We were trying to find a restaurant which I have enjoyed during my previous visits, but instead we ended up in Niko Hotel & Restaurant by mistake. What a wonderful "mistake"! The waiters were very friendly and helpful and their recommendations for the food prooved to be excellent. Black risotto, sea bass, mussels with gralic and white wine souce, salds, the home-made chocolate cake - everything was great! After the dinner the waiter showed us the hotel rooms and we decided to leave our "4 star" and to move to Niko.
I recommend the place to every good-sea-food-lover ;-)

We found this place using the Frommer's Guide for Croatia and it was a wonderful place. Very clean, modern room and bathroom, high ceilings and very spacious, balcony with table and chairs that looked out over the water and the old city. Wonderful breakfast included with the price.

Hotel Niko has only 7 rooms. Its entrance is almost hidden inside the restaurant, after a small alley. We found it by pure chance. The rooms are cosy and quiet. There is a small private parking. There is a shuttle boat every hour departing to Zadar old town from the marina (200 m from the hotel), every hour. The restaurant is excellent.
