The room is very large. The view is fantastic from the balcony to the sea. The beach is really close to the accomodation, about 5 minutes on foot. The meals are delicious, plentiful and really filling. The staffs are kind to the guests. They offer many interesting and entertaining programmes. Congratulations Hotel Punta! Me and my family had a wonderful time!

Driving in Croatia When you leave Split Airport turn right towards Trogir as you will pick up signs for Split more easily. Whether you can find the route across the mountains to the Toll Motorway is another thing. They are economical with road signs making driving around very difficult. We had to drive to Split to pick up the motorway as it was dark on our arrival. We also had to pay extra to the man on the Hertz desk as the flight had been delayed by two hours and the office should have been closed.

1. Quality of rooms: While the lobby is nice, the rooms are 1-2 star. They are extremely small and their idea of sea view is the sliver of sea you see if you walk out onto the balcony (which you share with the next room over except for a sheer'ish partition) and search for it. Our air conditioning temperature gauge was not working and the room was either freezing or boiling hot. The shower screen door was off its hinges and the pressure from the older shower head was negligible. The rooms were also very dark as the only source of natural light was the balcony door which 6-8ft across and tired'.
2. Food: Even though they insist on charging for at least half board, the quality of the food was dismal. Most of it was overcooked and reheated, the vegetables/fruits where wilted and dinged and the meats were primarily the processed variety
3. Spa & Pool: They advertise a full Spa menu, but there is only one therapist, who never seemed to be around. The pool is basically a stretched out Jacuzzi (the picture is at an angle) and surrounded by four walls (no natural sunlight)
4. Service: was horrendous! Examples:
1. We asked for directions on how to get to a bar which had been recommended to us. The front desk told us to take the route to the next biggest town and we'd find it along the way (not exactly forthcoming). We ended up going all the way to the next town (35mins away) and back, finally finding out that it was only 3km from the hotel, but you have to take a specific route to the other town to get to it an utter waste of time and frustration.
2. We were told that the hotel had parking for our rented car. The second night we came back late to find all the spots taken except for four which were cordoned off right in front of the hotel. After spending 35 minutes looking for any alternative, we parked in one of the cordoned spots. The front desk lady in charge then came out screaming that we couldn't stay there as these spots were reserved for the GM of the hotel (all four!). I was amazed that hotel guests couldn't park their cars, while the GM had four reserved. She then led us on a merry go round to find another spot, only to discover that there were none, then threatened to have us towed and get the police to get involved if we didn't take the car out of that spot. As it was then 4am and we'd spent 1hr20mins trying to find a silly parking spot, we left it there. It was still there the next morning, but what a way to end a fun night out.
3. On the day we were checking out, we were chased up to pay our bill four times by the front desk and started feeling distinctly like criminals about to skip town! When we asked to see the manager to express our dissatisfaction, he refused to see us at any time during that day and sent his deputy to ask us to put it all in writing (as if) for him to review at a later date
Hope this is not too much detail, but gives a very good idea of what to expect. Apparently their 4 Star' rating is self awarded and I wouldn't be surprised if it was this hotel does not feel like anything more than a two star.
