We had a good holiday, but the hotel wasn't really what we expected. the location is very good and I'd say it's the best place to stay at when you're in Tucepi. It's really not a four-star standard. The building is old and ugly. The pool is too small and crowded. The worst thing about this hotel is the food. We didn't even go to dinner for the last days and went to eat out, because the food was of very poor quality. The personel at the restaurant was never smiling, they even looked annoyed. For breakfast, there was a small variety of foods and it was the same every morning!! But I must say that the hotel is very clean and so are the rooms. We also paid for a room with a sea view. At first they gave us a room with no view at the sea whatsoever and after our complaint they gave us a room with a huge tree in front of the balcony so we could only see just a small part of the sea. but tucepi is a very nice place to visit. The beach is very clean and there's also a lot of sea attractions and a beautiful nature.

great staff on reception,restaurant...cleaning lady...music on terace is from 80' and they have only 12 songs,every day from 11AM to 11PM only that songs!!!

We had a wonderful holiday at the Alga, but a week wasnt long enough so we are going back in May 2007 for a fortnight. The Alga has the most wonderful staff and the best food in Croatia !!!

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The hotel staff were never smiling and always looked miserable. The pool was of good standard but too full. The food was ok sometimes it was cold but apart from that it was ok. There was to much kidz entertainment even though i am a kid it was all abit to much. It was ridiculous that you had to pay to watch entertainment in your OWN hotel! Overall this wasn't the best but I guess it still needs alot more development.

We visited Tucepi with our friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at the Alga.
The location was perfect.Our Thomas Cook rep,Terry Thomas was extremely professional and knowledgeable,Top Bloke.Trips out were good value. Dubrovnik`s a must!
Our rooms (sea view)were very comfortable and cleaned scrupulously.
The food was great.And I`m a vegie.The staff,Ana and Vesna were very friendly and loved our efforts with their language.We would all go back. One our best holidays.

Stayed at the Alga in August 2005. Very impressed by everything. Very clean, nice food, wonderful safety deposit box and good day time entertainment although night time entertainment was lacking!
Usual problems with people reserving sunbeds very early. Our only gripe was the fact that we had to share our table with a foreign couple who were very nice but felt you shouldn't have to share. If this happens to you, complain and you will be moved!
Tucepi is lovely with plenty of bars and restaurants. Watersports are very cheap.
Overall, a lovely hotel, resort and country. Would highly recommend all three and we will be back!

We thought this hotel was superb, relaxing and the staff was really helpful. Entertainment team worked hard with the resources available and had to entertain in several different languages. Food excellent and the rooms were of a good standard with spectacular view.

The only good thing about this hotel is its kept clean. The quality of the entertainment was pretty poor. The corridors are noisy with people coming and going at all hours.

The entertainment was utter rubbish, the food was cold and if you are travelling with thomas cook the rooms are poor quality, Saga guests get a better deal, think carefully about this hotel. There are better hotels in Makarska. Its too big to be efficient..
