Your Croatian adventure After walking the promenade, catch a bus down to the town of Omis, great beach and food!!

One day is plenty I think one afternoon is Split is enough. See Diocletian Palace/Old Town which can easily be seen in a couple hours and have lunch at Konoba Varos (Ban Mladenova 7) and be on your way. A bus to Dubrovnik is about $22 one way.
