Lovely hotel inside although outside looks like a prison with metal shutters. Dining room manic with piped music, crying kids, noise level awful. Food mediocre and staff mainly miserable. It's on a site with about four other hotels set among pine trees with lovely views over the islands which is just as well because you are prisoner on the site. If you try to walk along the seashore to escape the loud music being pumped out by the 'Animation Team' you walk into the din from the next hotel or bar then you find that you cant get along the shoreline because your exit is blocked by a small river whose bridge had been blocked by a huge pile of rocks and from there on, there are temporary metal barriers. New footings for permanent fences are being put in. I christened it Stalag Solaris. Only way out is by shuttle bus to Sibenik or if you are booked on a tour. The morning we left it was pouring with rain and still the music was being pumped out from 10 a.m. I was only there for two full days but it was enough, I could not have stayed another day.
