Like its two sister hotels - the Mimosa and Narcis, the hotel is located right in front of the bay - a 100 yards from the sea. The start of the promenade starts from outside the Mimosa and is a lovely 20 min walk to the centre of Rabac where the main shops are such as the supermarket and post office. Walk uphill a little and you should be able to find a couple more restaurants on the hillside. At the back of the hotels there is however a road so try and book a sea facing room. Another 100 yards up that road is the bus stop to Labin, the medieval town which over looks the bay. The first stop will alight you at the new part of the town whilst the second will put you right in the middle of the old town square. Just around the corner is the edge of the hill/mountain which has an amazing panorama and restaurant serving traditional Croatian food and great beer. The trip up and down will cost you approx 2.50 return or you can walk down which is 4 km - a bit rough in places but well worth it.

Booked thru Page and Moy, this hotel is quite good value on Halfboard. The bedrooms are clean but there is only BBC World in English on the TV. Andif you want the heating on - hard luck, bewcause the management will not turn it on until their own predetermined date, no matter what the weather. The location is attractive but a little remote. The swimming pools are all excellent. And the food is what you would expect for the price. The 3 sister hotels look atrocious though.
