We travelled as two groups, two adults and one infant (2 months), and two adults with one child (7 years). Location: For any first time travellers to Croatia, don't go for the sandy beaches....they don't have any. The beaches at this hotel and all along the front are large (in some cases flat) rocks, grassy areas, and concrete promenades. Take something soft to lie on. Medulin itself has nice water, warm and clear, almost no waves and almost no tide. Good to swim but make sure you take rubber soled shoes as some of the rocks are quite sharp, and there are the occasional spiny urchins. Take snorkelling gear if you like, you will see fish, shrimp, crabs, but be wary if you swim outside of the roped off swimming area, as there are boats large and small..some of which don't seem to care too much about the odd tourist in their way.
