Firstly, yes, ignore what the hotel looks like outside. Many people have said (correctly) that it looks like a multi-storey car park, but that really doesn't matter, as the area, and the pool, are truly beautiful, surrounded by mountains and the sea. I would recommend that you only do B&B. The restaurants on the pine fringed water's edge outside the hotel are excellent and good value. Average meal price, including drinks, was around £10 to £12. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't recommend Croatia enough, and the Thomas Cook rep was excellent. The Croatian school holidays start in early July, so it can get quite busy then. It also gets very hot at this time. This is also a great destination for the more discerning younger crowd who are looking for a water-sports holiday with a diving school, jet-skis, and para-sailing very close to the hotel. We had a wonderful time, and will be going back next year as there is so much to see and do.

Position of the hotel is excellent, restaurants all round were great value for money and superb service. The food at breakfast was more than adequate with plenty of fresh fruit and cereals eggs and all the usual, went to breakfast at lots of different times and was always happy with the standard. One thing that struck us was the toilets everywhere in every place we went in Makraska were so clean that you could have eaten your lunch in them, also the entertainment in the hotel was varied and very good, drinks in the hotel were more expensive than in the town but consider that a large beer was served at your table by a smiling waiter who was not expecting a tip at around £1.50 it has to be good. One tip is that the local banks will change your money at a far better rate than anywhere in the UK and charge no commission they also are open until 8pm. We will be going back to beautiful Croatia soon, thanks for a lovely holiday.

We spent 2 weeks trying to find a fault with the Hotel Dalmacija but to no avail. Everything was 1st class..........Thank You

Rooms 9 - Good size, keep clean and tidy. Location 10 – Centre of village/waters edge. Staff 9 - Friendly and help full Food 9 - Buffet Breakfast Bad – Drinks pricey
