I also received jam on my eggs and bacon one morning after a 45 min wait!!!! Service for breakfast was either superb or dreadful, simply no consistency. The staff were courtious but very patronizing. The credit card machine broke leaving me having to find cash locally on a Sunday to pay my bill.I needed my passport back to do this but this request was met with some mistrust and resistance until I explained that without it I could not withdraw a large amount of cash for them at the bank. I was allowed to stay in the room longer on the day of check out after I complained about the above issues, but as we finally left the hotel I was stunned by one of the desk staff accusing me of trying to run off without paying 20p for a bottle of water that the kids had used from the mini fridge without my knowledge. If this hotel wants to survive in todays competetive tourist market place, it simply has to do better and as we are in the leisure industry ourselves , we know what it takes. We love the resort and will be buying our own property there, even a hotel maybe but in the meantime, whilst we wish tThe Calisto well, it is unlikly that we shall use it again and we will not be recommending it to our friend.
