As part of a coachload of old-farts I found the hotel clean & comfortable. We were on a limited coach party menu but the food was still excellent, although I don't recommend the English Breakfast! Sited very handy for the wonderful tram system. The main draw back I found - absolutely nothing to do with the hotel - was bit of street noise at night from passing yobbos. If you could smuggle in a sniper rifle with a silencer in your luggage you could do everybody a favour. I think it only effected the rooms on the LH end - we were in 209. Oh, you might want to take some of your own toilet roll.

We had a jolly good time at the Royal Astrid despite the inclement weather the food was plentiful, rooms clean and comfortable. Very pleasant staff. A little bit of a walk to centre but close to tram and beach. We will be going back in the summer.
