Stayed first week in August. Big mistake. The fair was on all week untill 12 midnight. Premises next door with conservatory on front played loud music untill midnight. The Police arrived. Get a back room and forsake a view of the Cloth Hall. This is NOT a hotel. Done expect 'Ibis' standards. It is run down with odd old fasioned furnature. Could be cleaner and dont expect any little extras for your cash such as coffee making facilities, just a bottle of water. Breakfast was fair do it yourself with flasks of hot coffee. Does smell its age and carpet up the walls of the lift vsmell of oil.

We have stayed in the Sultan on a number of occasions and found it very good value, friendly and handy being right on the square. There is a lift and we get a three-bedded room which suits us fine. Breakfast is comprehensive serve yourself and fully adequate after a fine meal of Mussels and Chips at the "Den Anken" across the road.
