Spend more time in Ghent Ghent is a lovely city and you should spend 2 days at least walking around. We did 1 day and wished we had more time to enjoy all the amazing scenery. Bruges is excellent too.

The staff were helpful friendly and spoke excellent English. There was a free internet computer for guests to use and an excellent breakfast. Gravensteen has it's own parking area but if that is full there is a huge underground public car park only a few metres walk away. Once you are there a car isn't really needed the centrum is only a short walk away and trams pass the door for longer distance trips.
