Diner is served by the owners, I presume brothers; the wife of one of them, I guess the co-owner, is busy in the kitchen... and a very good cook she is. They were all very friendly and extremely discrete.
Diner (soup, a salad, the main dish and desert) could be described as plain cookery (no frills, nothing exotic) but honest and very tasty and made with fresh ingredients; most of them originated from the farm itself.
Breakfast (self-service)was very varied. A wide choice of bread, rolls, Danish pastry, cheese, flesh, eggs ... was available. Fresh orange juice, yoghourt and cereals were also served.
If requested one could assemble one's own packed luncheon with the same ingredient as those available for breakfast.
The price charged for breakfast, packed luncheon and diner was 15 euro, which is, considering quantity and quality more than fair.
A stay for 4 nights in full board (breakfast, packed luncheon and diner) cost us 192 euro each, which again is very reasonable.
The hotel/farmhouse is situated near the village Lampernisse "in the middle of nowhere". Lampernisse is, according to measurements, the quietest spot in Flanders. Take advantage of this! Private transportation is absolutely necessary if you want to reach the hotel.
I can recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quiet stay. Whether you are a walking fan, a cyclist or a tourist keen to visit cities and museums, this place located perfectly for you. Lampernisse is located between Diksmuide and Veurne and not very far from Ieper and Poperinge.
