Worst experience staying at that hotel. they are robbers, My bag was stolen from my chair while I was doing breakfast. several others cases have been registered where people have lost their belongings in the hotel and the staff acts wiered. NOT RECOMMENDED.........

The hotel is in undesireable neighborhood. Breakfast is good. Some of the staff were not helpful. Could improve the customer service, for sure.

Fairly inexpensive

Not a very good location if you want to be in the heart of the city, but right next to the southern train station. You have to walk thru some so-so neighborhoods (I would walk thru them at night but would not let my daughters do it) to get to the main area of Brussels, but it is only about 10-15 minutes. We were there in that horribly hot summer in 2003, so we sweltered in our non-air-conditioned room. However, the room was huge and very nice, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Since it was so hot, however, we had to open the windows, so it was rather noisy, being near, but not on, a busy street. The staff were great and helpful, the breakfasts were good, but there were few other restaurants nearby, and the one open at the hotel seemed to have non-family hours. Recommended for a train-and downtown-accessible, fairly inexpensive, clean and comfortable and nicely appointed, modern, but non-American-type, hotel.

Ustel - value for money!

Eurostar travellers, this is a good option for a hotel that's close to the main train station and only a 10 minute walk to the main centre of town. If arriving at night and it's already dark, my advice is ask a local of it's location (street or Hotel name) because although it is only a very close 500m from the train staion, it is not well lit up and you'll be wandering around for a good hour before you figure out that it's staring you in the face. The rooms are very spacious and clean and if you like to sleep in, the curtains are well dark enough to keep any hint of sun out of the room. If I had to go back to Brussels again, I'd definately opt for this hotel, great value for travellers requiring an inexpensive hotel!! 7/10 rating from me.
